I read somewhere that one 245 was reading as 268bhp!

Have you registered with Skoda Connect recently? How did you get the PIN? Off the online Portal? I have been trying to enter my PIN or the best part of 2 weeks now and it keeps saying code incorrect. Skoda customer services keep making up excuses and the latest is that the portal is down, which is why it won't work. If yours has worked, that is interesting. And yes, it does advertise it as coming with a WiFi hotpot, but it doesn't, which i was also pretty annoyed about!

Well still haven't sorted this. Have spoken to Skoda Customer services again and they have given me another PIN, which still doesn't work. Can anyone confirm whats the easiest way to know for sure that the car has an internet connection?

Thanks for the info everyone = will look at ordering today. I have heard of SuperSkoda, but was hoping to deal with a UK company and have heard mixed reviews of them on here. I thought that the VRS boot might be slightly different as when i select VRS on the options on most of the ebay listings it says it isn't compatible. Looking for some accessories/parts for our new skodas (both me and my parents have picked up new octavias over the past 2 weeks) and i was wondering where the best place is to get them from? I need a boot liner (looked on ebay but can't seem to find any that fit the VRS), floor mats and a spare wheel as a minimum (plus anything else that takes my fancy!)

Looks like. I have just spoken to the dealer who supplied the car and he didn't know what the 'vehicle management system was', so is getting back to me.

Looks like i am finally getting somewhere with it! I have just spoken to someone else at Skoda Customer Services and it is apparently because the car is regsisted under a company under the 'Vehicle management system' and not to me!

Thanks, that's not what i see. It just says Code Incorrect. Perhaps its just the code that's dodgy then. Skoda didn't seem to want to give me another one when i spoken to them

Just been to the car again and when i select 'Skoda Connect' it takes me to the set up wizard. The only option i then have is to press 'code'. It then asks for the code (which it obviously then says is incorrect). There is no option to de-register any accounts. I have previously tried a factory re-set in the main menu, but this hasn't made any difference. Anyone else have any ideas? It's really doing my head in now!

I have now had my 67 plate VRS for two weeks and am loving it. However, i still haven't been able to set up Skoda connect. After lots of messing about and speaking to Skoda and Supplying Dealer it appears that the issue is that the car has been registered under a different account previously. I put the car VIN number into the Skoda Connect portal and it has given me an 8 digit PIN code, I have tried numerous times to put this code into my car, but it just keeps saying that the code is incorrect. When i set up the account on my PC it recognized that i had 12 months free as it stated the expiry date which was 12 months after the first registration of my car. The supplying dealer doesn't seem to have a clue what to do. After all this i know it probably won't be worth it as it'll end up being useless anyway, but after spending a substantial amount of money of the car i want to be able use use all of the features available to me out of principal more than anything! Anything else i can try before i give up?? Surely someone else must have been in a similar position before?

Right, so i have finally managed to get an 8 digit code to input into the infotainment for me to activate skoda connect and it doesn't work. It just comes up with cannot activate, or something along those lines. Has anyone else had any problems activating it before? If it makes difference, i am the second owner, so it may have been activated previously, although I am assuming with a different code.

Trying to set up my mirrors last night and turned the dial to 'L' to adjust the left one - all was fine. Then turned the dial to 'R' to adjust the right one and both the left and right mirrors moved at the same time! I assume that this isn't right, so before i ask the dealer to look at it, does anyone know what could be causing this? I assume there isn't a setting that i have missed that could be causing the issue?

Still trying to work through all of the settings on my new 245 and have just managed to assign a key each to myself and the wife through 'personilisation'. However, the manual states that it is possible to set a seat position (if you have electric seats, which i obviously have) for each account. It says if you go to car > settings > seats it lets you set this up,but there is no option for seats. Am i missing something?

Just clicked the logo in the top left and nothing happened?

The day after picking up our 245

Well not a good start. I've had the car since last Friday and still haven't managed to set up Skoda Connect as the portal to register has been permanently down.

Sorry, should have said, it is a 67 plate car with 2k miles on the clock.

Had my 245 delivered on Thursday and must say what a brilliant car. Definitely feels faster than the stated 242bhp. The only gripe i have though is what i think must be tyre noise. Always comes at around 70mph and is quite intrusive. I actually have quite a high tolerance of road noise as i regularly drive my VX220 with a sports exhaust, which is obviously very loud, but this noise is certainly very annoying. I have the PZero tyres. Has anyone else experienced this?

Except it didn't really lose 11k as according to autoebid you can get one for 23k new.

I am picking my new 245 up later this week, but i just wanted to check whether there would be any issue with towing a caravan with it? It would probably only be a few times a year. Very lightweight caravan, so don't see any issues with weight, but i just wasn't sure if the different diff would cause any issues (as i'm not sure how these work) Hopefully not as it's a bit late now anyway!
