  1. All good, was good to have a different view, managed to smooth it out and fits tight now looking better. Think I'll keep it, always like a smooth leather feel (sofa in living room included) More snug fit now:
  2. Ah really I though it looked alright, I can always return it, will have a think. The red stitching matches part of the seat and the handbrake (monte carlo red stitching)... I think I was more afraid of the fabric being torn or scratched. Hmm, will see how it is over the weekend and return. Thanks for the feedback honestly 👍
  3. Wasn't too kean on the armrest being fabric, couldn't find a leather cover that was specifically for the Kamiq, but there was a Seat Leon one of the exact size. https://amzn.eu/d/i1KFtpl
  4. did you ever resolve this? As I have the same issue strangely, doors do not lock automatically when driving off, and the menu option says "currently unavailable"
  5. Funnily enough I did nearly the same thing just yesterday, had some spare rubber door draught proofing, and squeezed it into the top left and top right of the plastic surround of the virtual cockpit. Doesn't move at all now, and no tiny little clicking rattle type sound. But as you have aswell, on the passenger door somewhere there is a slightly similar light rattle, it's the only one to try and find. Need to have someone drive whilst I use my ears and hands pressing everything, another tip I saw on YouTube was someone linking their phone to their sound system and playing different types of bass tones, low and high frequency, this then highlighted the rattles whilst just parked up. Might give that a go aswell. Photo attached top left of plastic surround
  6. I have the exact same issue, I managed to find it's the plastic surround of the digital dash. As I've been driving and hearing the little rattle, I was pressing down on various parts of the dash, it wasn't until holding down that plastic surround did it stay silent. On closer inspection that surround is a little bit loose, it moves just a fraction as if some screws are not fully tight, but I can't see anything without stripping stuff back which I'm not keen on (or have any idea to be honest!) So far I've been testing out putting blue back between that surround, and managed to get a silent journey this morning. So will work out a way of adding something less obvious then a piece of blue-tack. Probably end up doing what you've done Peter as the scenario sounds near identical
  7. All updated thanks, didn't actually take that long considering the file size was 20gb+. Version went from 23.2 to 23.6 so wasn't too out of date prior.
  8. Yeah pretty much same for me, Android Auto goes on straight away. Just like the idea of the skoda map version up to date, either just incase it's ever used or at the very least with it being fresh.
  9. 😂 £60 and the rest of it is rubbish
  10. Your posts make me laugh with the capitalised words. As you say "if you read through the thread" Ackie confirmed to you it needs a subscription to Skoda connect. THAT'S WHY.
  11. How do you know it doesn't reinstall the same version, if the same version shows and the process doesn't tell you it updates? Haha OK thanks mate, yeah read it all, unzipped to the card, wanted to clarify if any type of message at all pops up. Had audis before this and it usually confirms with a progress bar
  12. OK thanks I'll do just that, seems silly how on system info you press update you'd expect it to then read the card and confirm the version it's about to update to. Rather than just stick the card in, which the skoda guide does say, I was just expecting some sort of confirmation at the very least. Took a photo of my sysinfo, 23.2 current nav version will see how it goes.
  13. Hi, I've done all this and put my usb with usb c adapter into my Kamiq. Nothing is showing on the screen, and going into system info and update shows nothing either However the sd card light is flashing away, is it updating if that's the case, just the infotainment isn't telling me?
  14. Yeah the protector I wanted purely because of its secondary benefit stating about not having any fingerprints. Since I've had it installed, not once has a print been left and still looks like I've cleaned it each time. The one they sell for the speedo is massively overkilled indeed.
  15. So had my Kamiq for 8 days now, just wanted to share a few extras that I feel are worth having for any new owners, or even current ones.....and to add a post to this forum which seems fairly quiet! 1 - Screen protector for the infotainment, it's basically the same as you would use on your mobile phone, but moreso the added benefit is that now there are hardly any fingerprint marks at all when using with it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BD4NJYZN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 They do a protector for the speedo aswell but didn't bother with that one, don't think it's neccessary 2 - All weather rubber mats. As nice as carpet ones are, I use all weather all year round. Simple to keep clean, carpet is nice of course, but not worrying about any type of wet or dirt on my footwear is a plus point. Got the fronts and rears from https://skodapartsdirect.co.uk and managed to find the rubber boot mat on an Amazon Warehouse deal for £50. Was down as having scratches, but it's hardly got any at all. And so what if it had, it's in the boot about to get marked all the time. 3 - cargo netting in the boot comes in handy, was about to buy them as I had previously in my Audi A3 - but kept the A3 one, and luckily it actually fits in there fine to use. These nets always come in handy for securing stuff from rolling around in the boot 4 - Valve caps - managed to get these on Amazon for only £6.99 - officially they seem to sell for £25. But be sure to use some wd-40 / wd-40 lithium within the thread of the cap to avoid any corrossion sticking metal to metal https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076BVBB9K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 5 - Dashcam, fitted a Nextbase 522GW from the previous car. Easy to do front, reverse rear was a little harder. I've seen people unscrew the tailgate to make it nice and neat, but managed to avoid all that and still end up nice and neat. Will do a youtube video eventually on it.
