  1. @J.R. Are they paying out to people that made a claim having bought a used Euro 5 TDI after the Defeat Device scandal was known as well as paying out to the original owners? PS They are not paying out on the Diesel Emissions defeat device to those with a 1.2 TSI (Petrol)
  2. You are getting the sort of fuel consumption that many have with twinchargers then. On a good run at NSL's you might get into the 50's mpg.
  3. 20km. No idea why we use km in Scotland / UK. But then as we go back to the past with Imperial we might be buying fuel by the gallon or quart & not litres, and energy in bags from an electric coal lorry or maybe steam engines. https://energysavingtrust.org.uk/grant-and-loans/low-emission-zone-support-fund-for-households
  4. @AnnoyingPentiumA year before it would apply to you in Glasgow. I heard on the radio that there is a Scottish Government Scrappage Scheme for those within a 20 mile radius of the zones. £3,000 was the figure i think mentioned. Search engine required....
  5. 6 MOTs, or is that 7 for £173 is a nice cheap price. Is that only £29 or less you pay per test?
  6. The Elephant in the room with EV's and ICE Vehicles in the UK can be the shocking ECO tyres they arrive fitted with. You can forget the 0-62 times with many of them unless you have a very good surface at the time of flooring it, and even still with some you need to roll first then floor it to get any traction. TC off is required with many vehicles to actually stop the car stopping you getting full power being produced. The likes of Michelin Primacy 4 fitted to lots of EV's in the UK are crap enough in warmer weather and total sh1te in the wet / cold.
  7. 4 million of the things just produced by Skoda and more, you would think they have them right by now. Vorsprung Durch Technik. In other world areas than Europe you can get a 1.4TSI with a 8 speed TQ Auto. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/technical-stuff/247951-skoda-auto-has-produced-its-four-millionth-dq200-dsg-automatic-gearbox.html
  8. No. But you are not the only one making that mistake. You best go do a bit of research. It is 6 speed wet that requires oil changes. 1 oil type in it. A dry clutch DSG had 2 oils in it. In the box and in the MCU and requires no oil changes / servicing. Note the DQ381 is @80,000 miles.
  9. A DQ200-e / DQ200 is a Twin Dry clutch DSG. So there is the biggest difference from a DQ250 or any wet clutch DSG's.
  10. We will just have to ignore the use of Oil, Gas, Coal, Wood Chips, Wind, Solar, Nuclear to produce electric to transport and process Petrol & Diesel and to power the industries that produce any type of vehicle. Also ignore that EV's are mobile batteries that can be storing electric produced at times when it is not in high demand.
  11. Have you looked in the Fabia Project section yet? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497035-2011-fabia-vrs-about-time-i-started-a-thread-heading-for-the-drag-strip http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478545-fabia-mk2-vrs-the-red-baron http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/476148-ruff's-mk2-vrs-project http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/448350-mk2-fabia-vrs-combi
  12. Sorry, DQ200-E & DQ400-E actually, The DSG's used with electrified TSI's. Still just DSG's so not short in supply, just the rest of the parts for the cars they are going in.
  13. @Crucian Maybe you could give some idea of what engine your car has, so a petrol or diesel and which actual power / size of one. 1.2 TSI / MPI or a TDI.
  14. Wunderba. Was that all with 95 ron E10 ?
  15. Low emission zones begin in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee & Aberdeen today. 'City centres!'. "Most polluting cars" but that is vehicles and there are exclusions. 2 years before before enforcement starts though. So no fines until then. *Glasgow is different as there is a LEZ already, so if not a resident be aware that it is a year when visitors can be fined in the LEZ with a higher polluter.* http://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-61633632
  16. But check pressures every few weeks anyway and reset the TPMS. As the book says 'check' the TPMS, Maybe change your pressures with the summer weather, or the load being carried etc, and reset the TPMS each time.
  17. At a glance the common thing is those having e-DSG's because of being Mild & Plug in Hybrids. The most common thing there is battery shortages more than any probable shortage of DSG's which Skoda are producing for Skoda, SEAT, VW & Audi's.
  18. They employ those to sit at a service desk with maybe a NVQ is Customer Services, maybe keyboard skills, but even that is doubtful often. The training is on upselling and that is about it. Once they get chatty and interested in cars they are out of there maybe to sales or some other job. No dealership wants anyone with that much of a knowledge on a Service Desk. Do not expect the Service Manager to have any mechanical training.
  19. @EnterName Did you ask the bloke if he was a Technician or Fitter from the workshop because they do not usually answer phones at a Service Desk. It is absolutely correct that a Main Dealership should not be resetting Service Indicators if they have not serviced a car. That should include places that had an incompetent technician or fitter have a car showing a fixed service when the car should have gone out set for variable. They need to learn by their mistake in not training or supervising staff. You ask them to correct their error by changing the oil & filter for free and reset the service indicator.
  20. @domhnall Do you have a link to that easy to find Service information of 2 years regardless of mileage ? https://www.enyaqforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=584 VW seem to show the BEV's as at under 19,000 miles for the first service, Skoda Q1 2022 Aftersales Brochure.pdf
  21. @EnterNameYes sadly. Against all my advice. Someone who might or might not have been the manager called her (edit) and offered to cross her palm with a couple of hundred quid cash money. That will be a wee side deal out of their commission no doubt which does not mess up the finance agreement and the accounts before the end of the month. It will be on a nod and a wink to a blind man. No income tax, no VAT no HMRC. Her uncle has a big mouth though so the car better be an A1 A1 and fixed promptly if not. Her
  22. I wish a lot of the muppets that now have their Green Flash EV's that they have gone for could get a foot down at junctions etc. High time that those that are maybe not that sure about driving as it is years since they sat their test or have been driving but think they might just get an EV from Motabilty were required to get a bit of driving tuition and maybe a little competence test.
  23. Maybe he had a reason for not going to Newbridge then like being ready to go collect the customer as soon as they called him. The SuperCharger site @ the Airport was not in use for the week and he was peed off as he had free charging.
  24. There is a pinned thread at the top of the page on the SAFETY recall for iV,s.
