My reply to @skoda998 has been removed by a Mod. It was between their posts. Not sure what i posted was not factually correct. I have leased and bought using HP 14 cars from Motability since 1977. Never given one for FREE, always paying over the FREE MONEY i get which for quite few years i never got, or got back dated after appeals. There are a lot of people that really have not a clue about just how much money is paid to millions of people. Like those getting £227 a week in Pension Credit because they never built up enough to get a UK State Pension.

The Billions that Motability held in the Funds and which went to the Major Banks to support them in 2008 is staggering. The Managements wages that is paid @ Motability is Staggereing. How the Registrations then vehicles at 3 years going into the UK motor trade is stagering. ? So how many Billions of the PIP etc are paid to people that does not go towards vehicles buying or mobility needs of people. There is no Means Testing of the money paid out to those that qualifies. Many thousands will be using the money fueling vehicles they buy or own & not leasing from Mobility. Getting their VED exemption on cars, so no need to be concerned about LEZ / ULEZ as the vehicle classed Disabled.

Yes they do some other stuff, inspection servicing, check components, tyres, wipers, steering, suspension, visual on brakes. Spark Plugs or Fuel Filter. They say oil top ups of transmission, diffs, check belts, Well that is on a Service Sheet. Locks Lubricated... Body & Glass Inspection for the Corrosion Warranty is listed. Preventative Maintenance / Servicing Brake Service, Brake Fluid changes, Haldex / VAQ services, Coolant strength tested, AC Serviced etc .

It is called a VAQ Diff, and there are cars out there that did not have them serviced at 3 years / 30,000 miles because Dealership staff never told owners, because Service staff did not know, or would say optional to service. (Mk4,s the interval was changed to @ 2 years / 20,000 miles. Others will know about them, i thought standard on 230 / 240,s. But i am often wrong.

Just for the sake of clarity. Lowering by how much? Fitting what Front Coil overs?

I could have it charging pre 7 am and at 100% and showing 104 miles range, say -2*oC, that was on the phone app. Get in the car and not pre conditioned and on start up it might be showing 106 miles, then i set off and 60 mph roads and a few 20 and 30 mph villages it has 80 miles range left after 30 miles. (Pre heating / deicing the car for 5 minutes before unplugging it made no difference to range showing on app but the dash might show more miles range. The demisting last winter was not working properly as i only found out when they said it needed the warranty work. But i never have Heating set higher than 18*c other than maybe for a few minutes clearing the glass / windscreen. Heated seat on maybe for 5 minutes and not needed on again. Dipped headlights always on in winter.

The History is important as far as i am concerned. Servicing, use, charging. How many of those km were using electric only, and how many with the engine. Was the engine oil changed annually, @ 15,000 km intervals? & the Spark plugs @ 64,000 km. & the DSG serviced @ 64,000 km.? So twice now.

I charged to 100 % or 98/99 % nearly always. Always before heading off on trips. DC or AC. It only shows between 108-118 even in warm weather. It would do more but was most efficient between 15-20 *oC. I could still get 100 miles with some range left at as low as -10*oC. The only time i would not charge to full is if the charger was very expensive and there was enough to get me to my destination and then cheap charging. Usually on my way homewards and needing just about 70 miles, and also if a charger had a max 40 minutes stay and i had enough charge at the charger charging slow but at a stupid tariff.

@Redestate it is KISS which i like, controls nice and straight forward. HVAC damn good. Seat fully down and as far back as is the steering wheel is perfect as are the pedals without me adjusting them. Easy in and out. I am happy enough. All in £11,000 with Insurance, extended warranty, & new tyres. When the 6 months VED is up i will change to Disabled Class and use VED Exemption on it unless i get some ICE vehicle with high VED & use on that. Fine for taking into LEZ / ULEZ,s.

@Redestate My left foot is doing the accelerator and brake pedal. Eco is just fine in town. 3 things to select as driving off from home. ECO, max regen & Autohold. As to Fahrenheit, that means nothing to me as i have lived my life with Celsius, PSI, Miles & MPH / MPG. kW & kW/h is fine, but thought of how many miles from them. I was going to keep the MINI at least until after this winter if not til August when due handing back. It p!$$ed me right off last night, well not the car but the Phone App. It never Logged me Out, it deleted it's self. Remote info gone. I have not Re-registered with VIN etc. So i was charging last night and checking charging started and no connection to car. No charging info, doors locked etc but it new its location, unless that was my phones location. The MG has no phone App, but i am OK with that as the car starts charging and is accurate enough at when will be charged, and i do not need to go to 99% as often as i needed to with the MINI. Leaving on 7 or 11 AC chargers.

Cross Climate 3,s fitted. I will leave the pressures as is to see how efficiency is. Heavy rain coming but no frosts so I will see how traction in the wet is. 205/60 R16 V 96. At present available cheaper than Cross Climate 2 or +.

If they keep at it they might get more research grants and keep them selves in a job. Holy camoly it must be a worry for those in electric trains, tubes, trams. Especially drivers of these.

Get a matching tyre / wheel and fit and continue the journey. Maybe the boot floor is an ickle higher. Simple cars, simple slightly different sized Space Savers or Savers of space is the Traditional Way with 'Simply Clever' Skoda. There will be cars with directional tyres and the spare will not be, but if it is then a 50/50 chance it is for the side of the car where there is the puncture

Was that Skoda Customer Services Contractor? Know nothing about cars. I do not know any petrol engine Skoda from the last 20 years no mater what engine that does not have the Service Schedule for spark plugs replaced at 4 years / 40,000 miles.

Good. I would use & have done VW502 00 with TSI,s. But you do not need to if you have not got a 1.8 TSI with excessive oil use. The Long life oil is fine. Changing at low mileage if that is your annual miles. The AP-L was not correct though. But is 5w 30 FS III

What country is the car in / for? What is it you actually want to be able to disable? VW Group / Skoda, ESP = Electronic Stability Programme. But then there is ASR / Anti Slip Regulation, or TC Traction Control. XDS / XDS + TPMS / Tyre pressure monitor system. Reset.
