Delays or non Delays
Over 40 Enyaq advertised just on Autotrader in the UK. Pre-loved / cherished / ex Demonstrators etc with strong asking prices. Some sitting and not being snapped up even though daily on the media presenters talk about the shortage of EV's.

iV charge display
Hopefully others in that circumstances will know. I am surprised this is not available on a phone app showing the charges done. You will soon know how much electricity you require from empty to full, half to full. How much if plugged in and pre-heating etc. Plug in at the likes of a Tesco free Pod Point and you see what you use over the time plugged in and use that knowledge.

iV charge display
Dad might know how many kWh of electricity he uses and the price so can look at the meter when you plug in and unplug. Basically if you get 10 kWh of a charge and he is paying 27.2 pence a kWh then you are due him £2.72. Maybe buy Mum & Dad a CD.

Build delays
Fair enough if true. It is a shame that Dealership staff and the company Skoda UK have running Customer Services tend to try to keep peoples orders running on a wish and a promise. https://speakev.com/threads/skoda-have-stopped-production-of-the-60kwh-enyaq.169130

They suspended building 60's for the UK. Only time will tell when that changes, unless maybe Skoda have already announced a change in that.

Build delays
Welcome. They appear with that to have some idea when they will start building 60's for the UK, or they are making a guess and crossing their fingers. http://lifecarstore.com/uk-skoda-cuts-enyaq-60-attributable-to-provide-points

Delivery times?
@Semiconductor34 So Manufacture Year / MY22 was the new version that started being built later in 2021, and MY23 might just be getting built starting this year. But then Derren Brown has left the forum so who know what will be when or where or how.

Number plate query
Years back i bought 2 Ford Scorpio's as used cars with full spec that were Senior Police Officers cars and they had been manuals converted to automatics. They also had engines tweaked.

Number plate query
Cars can be wrongly registered, & V5's can be wrong, an this can be the DVLA's fault, dealers / manufacturers. The build sticker in the boot will have the gearbox code on it. Best get a VIN and a check to see if it was built as a manual or an Auto / DSG. Also Check the Co2 g k/m of the manual model and the auto. ? Have you seen the car? Best be sure it is sorted for when insuring the car.

Car supermarket distant selling and all the sales crap.
They have never seen the old car but then Scotland's biggest car group sold her that with Stop/Start not functioning because of a duff battery which obviously they did not want to replace with the correct one. If they do not adjust the price in her favour then no deal. They can spin on it. She paid £99 on a card. At least it got important work done, and new discs are on it recently and some budget tyres. Car prepped for sale and under bonnet shows as genuine for a car that had been used and sat about during lockdown, no attempt at a 'kerbside motors' splash of dash flash. Note when First Registered in January 2016 the 'In transit' gets reset to 0 miles. 179 miles done before then.

Car supermarket distant selling and all the sales crap.
Just spent a couple of hours going to check out a car a niece bought sight unseen. She was to collect it on Monday. Traded in her 2015 car she has not had that long for a 2016 Audi A1 1.4 TSI manual. S-line. So looks great on the vid. Paint to be prepped. Wheels are refurbed. MOT no advisories. £30 VED. All that jazz. Too expensive, not enough for her car but she is happy. Even paying for 12 month warranty, paint protection !!!! 6 year old car. 2015 first registered Jan 2016. PDI Nov 2015. So MOT history is bad. Suspension, steering, brakes, tyres Car well abused by 3 years old. Service history incomplete. Then she gets told they offered too much on her car which has not got a full service history. So more finance to pay. They are having a laugh since neither does the one they are selling that came in from an Auction.. there is a history, just not showing all done as need be. So we will see later what they come up with after the manager is involved because as usual the salesperson has moved location in the last week.

What is the optimum oil temperature for my 2017 Fabia 3 110?
@brian245 Really? The Coolant temp gauge might rise to 90 degrees indicated and stay there but that is not accurate. When driving when the weather is hotter, your speed rises, the road gets steeper and you have people and stuff in the car does the 'indicated' oil temperature not go higher than in the 90's? Something is very odd if it does not.

Dieselgate

There is a thread in the Rapid section and probably in the Octavia, Superb, Roomster & Fabia sections soon.

What is the optimum oil temperature for my 2017 Fabia 3 110?
It is a tsi as a 3 cylinder 1.4 TDI was not 110ps. First it gets up to an efficient temp. The efficient oil temperature is around the 92*oC indicated it gets to, and this is around the coolant temp. When the oil gets hotter into the high 90's, low 100 and a bit the system is trying to get the oil back down to the 90 *oC ish temp. In the UK even if it gets to minus 15*oC ambient the oil will get to 50*oC indicated in about 10 miles, then keep going up to above 80*oC even if you are running quite slow. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/454977-oil-temperature

Anyone making a new claim for the VW Emissions / Dieselgate?
http://bbc.co.uk/news/business-61581251 VW agrees a settlement for claimants in England & Wales.. https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/manufacturer-news/2022/05/25/volkswagen-group-agrees-193m-settlement-for-dieselgate-claimants

Enough is Enough
VW has cunning stunts and since they pee off suppliers and contractors and blame them they thought 'lets take software in house' How hard can that be after all we have never sourced reliable water pumps since we started fitting them yet and we do not build your own, but we will become software developers.

Tyres
Are you out and about much in the UK @Carlston? Do you know something, you might be right, but the tyres still can get wrecked but the rims might not. With potholes it is not the ones you see that is the issue, it is the ones you do not see. That size you mention for the Jimny is the size of tyres they come on now crap on road and off, the last model came on 205/70 R 15 & that has been Bridgestone Dueler ditch finders that are OEM since 1998. You know the scores on the doors, but do you ever drive the cars that you actually post about with the wheels and tyres you recommend?

Revs, driving and economy
@Phil-Ei did not think it worth mentioning a 7 speed Twin Dry clutch DSG since i was comparing where a 2.0 TDI's DSG would be gear wise to a manual. Some can be in 7th off throttle with a bit of downhill at 30 mph but then DQ200's come with various engines and models of Skoda.

Rooms petrol automatic, tiptronic, DGS, what’s the difference? 1.2 105 vs 1.6 105?.
Welcome. Maybe a mod can move this to the Roomster section. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skoda_Roomster What age of Roomster are you looking at? 1.6 MPI 6 speed tiptronic to 2015. No idea till when in the UK. 1.2 TSI DQ200 7 speed DSG 2010 on to 2015. The petrol 1.6 is maybe more of a noticeable difference. You want to read threads on those, there are those in the Roomster section. I thought the Tiptronic was discontinued early, it had no service schedule but by now it might well have had an oil change and if not will want one. ** Members can maybe comment on fuel consumption because emissions look high.** To your mum there is maybe nothing to notice as a difference even though a tiptronic is very different from a DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG. A 1.2 TSI and DQ200 dsg will shift gear as fast as anyone will be wanting. There are things to look out on with the 1.2 TSI and DQ200 DSG and that is age dependent. Timing chain, plug lead, service campaign on DSG, These should have been addressed by 2022 on the models involved.

Ad Blue - RTFM
@IJWS15The TDI's could achieve the economy. They could not achieve the low emissions though while achieving the figures. When Kia / Hyundai were caught out not achieving the economy they claimed in North America and Canada they were penalised and had to give fuel cards to cars owners. They were fined 100 million dollars in the US in 2014. Ford had to reimburse 215,000 customers for exagerating fuel economy. https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/2016-vehicles-have-more-cheat-software-vw/97865
