  1. @mkellerman good to meet you again. Sorry I was in a rush to get charging. Good to hear you have the new cars. Catch you again sometime.
  2. I could not drive and sit charging comfortably for hours in a Zoe or Niro, Soul, MG of other cars I could get from motability. So range is not always the most important thing 9.30 am and 73 miles and that was free electric. 46% and 62 miles showing. So out of 5 rapids 2 were available. Got 2 nd one started. 35 pence a kWh. I will have to come off and move chargers in 30 mins and charge some more. So what charge I get to 95% will do me til the next charger in 100 miles. That and the next 2 charges after that should be on FREE to charge 50 kW chargers. PS, at 81% and moved chargers. 111 mile range showing. On an old original charger now. Last 3 times here I have not yet been charged for the charges. I will see today. FREE is my favourite cost. PPS. So another 30 mins charging took it to 93% and 124 miles showing. OK but not plugged in now so windows open to stop then steaming up. I am soaked messing about getting chargers started and stopped. Peeing down and just waiting on flight arriving then hitting the high road. Saving money on fuel is a lifestyle thing and can be a bit of an effort. But it looks like the charging has been free today so far.
  3. Real world. 7.45 and 350 -400 miles to do. So 98% battery 130 miles and rainy 10 degrees. 90 miles to airport where max charging is 30 mins on a 50 kW. Need to charge twice there. Then 3 times more charging before home in 12 hours maybe. I will see what the charge and range is at airport.
  4. @CJJE Where did you find that the WLTP is carried out using E10. Will that also be the RDE / RDE2?
  5. @Trilogy2kWhere are you in the world? In the UK the Audi Multitronic CVT oil changes are at 40,000 miles and in some other world regions @ 38,000 miles. 6 / 7 speed wet clutch DSG oil changes are at 40,000 miles unless a vehicle with a DQ381 that is at 80,000 miles.

  7. @Stuart-h Is it for this VW? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504122-non-starter ? What age of 1.2 TSI? You need to get the correct Oil filter using the VIN. The Euro 5 1.2 TSI engines had a change of oil filter and there was a time that Dealerships / Garages fitted the wrong ones, so engine age is important. Also the Oil capacity changed from 3.6 to 3.9 litres as shown here for Skoda Fabias.
  8. VW do publish a recommendation for use of super unleaded for GTI /R's, and this use of 98 ron included the Euro 5 1.4 TSI's Twinchargers used by Skoda which have 98 (95) on the fuel filler flap. https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/need-help/need-help-faqs/fuel.html It is amazing that Independent testing is not being done and published since E10 was introduced as the standard for 95 unleaded & E5 just to see if emissions were reduced and compared with E5 97 or 99 ron minimum. Likely not anything that any fuel producers or retailers are interested in doing. 6ca06d648b9541e78fa838fece4a1a23 (1) (1).pdf 388380a097b04fe693a8c27db8bb4974 (1) (1).pdf
  9. Welcome. Maybe best a visit to an Automatic Gearbox specialist or a VW Independent near you because any Skoda Dealership near you are not cheap for a diagnosis or any repair / remedial work. Not that near but not far. http://www.autohausedinburgh.co.uk
  10. Hopefully someone can advise. ??? Have you looked in the airbox recently to see if the air filter is clean and dry! How many miles has the car done? Has it has a fuel filter replaced? And has it had the Defeat Device emissions fix done on it at some time?
  11. Welcome to the forum. If you say what car you have a mod could move your post there.
  12. @LukeG99 Is this a recent thing or has it been this way since you got the car? Best you say what engine you have in your car, what age your car is & how many miles it has done. EDIT, I see now it says a 2014 at the side.) There might be simple things like consumables that need changing like spark plugs if a petrol or air filter. That seems like pretty low RPM for a cold start.
  13. Setting the air flow so cooling to your glove box / for anti chocolate melting / drinks can etc if the AC is working.
  14. Sadly i gave away the last of the Corrida Red paint i had. 8151/F3K/8T8T If near a £1 shop or someone that uses red nail varnish they might have the correct shade for touching that up. Much cheapness.
  15. VW 504 00 / 507 00 so 5w 30 FS III in area A when checked at operating temp so 90 *oC or so when parked on the flat. is right for when towing as shown in the owners (know where the level on the dipstick is when cold, but compare when hot.) Hopefully the correct Oil & Oil filter was used, the old seal removed and the filter not over tightened.
  16. Fuel Filler Flap replacing. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/472045-skoda-fuel-filler-flap #Life hack. Baking powder & icing sugar mixed and in a jam jar lid or just a piece of paper / card etc as an ant killer. They take it back to the nest supposedly and kill the colony.
  17. Superglue & Baking powder works wonders. When doing it with the hinge on the car a bit trickier. But basically once a little glue holds the flap in the correct position you apply the glue sparingly around the edges and sprinkle / blow the baking powder at the glue. (Youtube videos of Superglue & Baking powder are available) I have never used the bottom stuff with baking powder as the top stuff is amazing with it. There was a clear out offer at Tesco and i spotted that some were wrongly priced so it would have been rude to not buy them.
  18. The authors of the book can answer for what they say and plenty will say they are selling 2 books that are not worth the paper they are written on. Maybe they believe in what they wrote enough to not care what anyone that thinks it is all rubbish says. It is like anything that does not actually harm anyone other than they wasted money buying a book, just cash down the drain. I am starting a new medical research programme as a volunteer which is over 3 years and about diabetes and the heart and changes in diabetics. So lots and lots of tests and scans and monitoring of food and exercise and medication and a lot of chance for discussion on these with doctors and dietitions. The last research i was on for 12 months was for a drug that ended up with me having a weight loss that meant my diabetic medication was reduced and still is now. When the trial ended and the medication was not available with the NHS in Scotland i really piled the weight on and had to restart the old medication even though me eating and exercise stayed the same. That was a real issue for a good while as i had my artificial leg altered / reduced while losing weight / bulk and then had back issues. Once i finally got the new medication prescribed the difference was amazing in a matter of just weeks. I was really peed off when it turned out there was a version of the medication i could have been on as soon as the trial finished as it was already approved and in use. Re Pee, i need to drink quite a lot of water to be sure of not having one of the not nice problems with this medication. The other thing is i have to watch for low blood sugar levels / hypoglycaemia so carrying sweets would be sensible but i have some dextrose stashed tablets but have never needed to break them out. http://www.nhs.uk/medicines/empagliflozin/ Jaradiance. https://ema.europa.eu/en/medicines/human/EPAR/jardiance It is supposedly for use as an add on when blood sugars are out of control or where someone can not take Metaformin. I have it now with a reduced dosage and all is well. So i will stick with the food intake i have for years now and try to stay pain free and injury free. The main thing i aim for is only needing 1 poo a day and that as early as possible in a day.
  19. Did Chris Hoy endorse it? The article says it is endorsed by Chris Hoy. I have no idea if Chris Hoy approved of his name being used in an article about a book or if he gave any endorsement or received any reward from a book an article or the sale of honey. I am not a celebrity so i will just give the endorsement that i will keep doing as i do and feel great on it. It works for me as a type 2 diabetic and not to lose bodyfat, just take something easy and have a good sleep and recovery from cycling. No sweeties needing bought or having about because i would pig out on them, i have nothing in my home that i particularly like as i am a greedy person and i like just ignoring sweeties and treats. On bike rides and trips i have rough oatcakes with me and water. The beans, toast etc are eaten at meal times and not before going to bed. 20. In the UK Customer Services is contacted out so no surprise that people are told to get the info from a Dealership.
  21. Welcome. Hopefully other hybrid drivers can help, but when the engine is fired up it has a GPF and might well need to get it heated up just the same as if a car has just an ICE. An engine just starting for a few minutes and then closing down is not a good thing. This will be why the engines have a fixed Oil & Filter regime.
  22. @Joss1733 Something is seriously wrong with the 12 month wait till now from ordering. Are the communications you are getting from Skoda UK, a supplying dealership or the lease company? ....................... The Enyaq getting priority is understandable because in the EU and the UK the VW Group are using other manufacturers as partners to meet the Co2 average figures required to be sure they are not going to pay a penalty for failing on vehicles first registered and making no profit on vehicles built and sold. VW Group are not going to manage to get enough mild or plug in hybrids first registered and the partner manufacturers are struggling with those and BEV's.
  23. @Joss1733 could you remind us what exactly you ordered and from what dealership and when this was, and are you buying or leasing the car?
  24. @CezarTheSalad Have you spoken with local to you Tyre & Exhaust centre staff. It is difficult times supply wise but 5 1/2 days a week their job entails sourcing and receiving and fitting exhausts.

@KenONeill So lets drop the Keep or Keeping as per this thread or as Skoda name their feature. (It is my bad as my daily drive is a Vauxhall and the button is for Lane Keep Assist on or off and it stays on. but there are cars i drive with rubbing Lane Keeping Assist where it is used to switch it off sometimes.) The question is the same have you driven a Skoda with Lane Assist or any vehicle with Lane Keep Assist? LKAS = Lane Keeping Assist Systems is what is coming in as required as standard from the factory.
