@Ronn. Those under 50 already with an Electric Up!, Mii or Citigo likely have an opinion on if you deserve respect. Selling or first registering the 400 Citigo iV,s that came into the UK and taking no orders while there is plenty of demand is what happened. Only 400 imported, not only a demand for 400 and people not wanting them. You should be a spin doctor or politician that separates fact and promotes fake news.
  2. ? Has there been an Official announcement from Skoda that they have discontinued production of the Citigo IV, or is it just the production is suspended currently. Has anyone got a link to the Skoda Press Release if there is one? EDIT. There is a link now posted by a member in the Citigo section and iV thread of the Autoexpess article on CITIGO iV no more!!!
  3. Ps Haldex changes and filter certainly need doing more often than the DSG for those that care about the car and not blowing their hard earned. They really need to do research listening to me or someone else on the forums that does not know their arse from their elbow can be costly.
  4. Engine oil every 9,400 miles (10,000) miles is just perfect in the UK if not tracking a car. The UK / Scotland still uses miles. As for the rest of service consumables,. The 40,000 miles on spark plugs and air filters and check or change sooner is the norm and works out fine without ridiculous costs. Global recommendations are fine but as to location location location is does need taking into account and those doing high annual mileages might well be sticking to variable servicing intervals and with engine oil and filters be doing at 18,000 -20,000 mile intervals which might be sooner than 12 months between changed.
  5. ? The Rear Diff is not the Haldex. You best stick to what you want but as to incorrectly posting the device scheduled / guidelines on DSG oil servicing you have posted that.

Is there an announcement to the demise of the Citigo iV and not just the suspension of the production. VW have to get the average Co2 down in their range as and Skoda have less of a rush to as their total productions and registrations are so much lower. Are productions of e-UP!s being ramped up or also stopping?
  7. If the car is getting an oil change because the car is on fixed servicing so it has been 372 days or 9,400 miles since first registered that service really is not just an oil / filter service. It is not much more than that. But then the oil is long life oil and the car left the factory on variable servicing so 24 months 18,000 to 20,000 mile intervals. But someone changed that. If you want just an oil and filter change then do not pay more than needed. If you want the oil and filter and inspection there is a Skoda UK fixed price menu and some may do it for less than that.
  8. ? So what do these VW trained and qualified technicians or fitters actually say is wrong with the turbo that required replacing? Has your car had the Turbo Shim TPI work, and did they check? I would be going to a VW specialist for a diagnosis and swerving main dealers workshops and their 'change it and let's see after all it is only a customer's hard earned money!'. ? Was an accuator replacement discussed? Or is it really really a case of a complete unit turbo and accuator?

If you are in the market for a EV and comparing the various manufacturers models and offerings you probably have a ICE vehicle or maybe even a EV so are really not shopping for a ICE vehicle. Strange that people keep saying what the money can buy if you we were to buy or lease an ICE vehicle.
  10. ? Where have you ever seen from VW group 'at 5 years max: on wet clutch DSG,s' ?DSG oil changes are @40,000 miles with Skoda, Seat and VW and 38,000 with Audi on the same boxes and with DQ381,s at 80,000 miles, DQ200,s have no scheduled oil changes not that that has anything to do with manual boxes. The Haldex is at every 3 years it used to be @ 40,000 miles or 4 years and VW as usual co_ck up they do not say at 30,000 miles and not knowing there own products do not say screen or filter and many technicians never do the job correctly or competently and then there are those on social media forums that quote the wrong km/miles.
  11. I don't do that stuff as no use when no phone reception in the Scotland that the politicians care not a jot about. @donhall you can not charge @80 % and move on in Aboyne, Braemar, Alford etc, and Nairn is hopeless and many other chargers that are more often occupied or out of order. 80- 98 % is just 20 minutes and if you have no idea when the next chance of charging is I want to leave with 180 miles possible and 4 hours available driving. I am just in the central belt for now and only checking out locations incase around here come winter but I doubt I will be doing 450 mile days in the coldest weather in the Corsa for trips that need to be getting a shift on with. Eg Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen airport pick up or dropping offs.
  12. Cheers I have then all on paper now for when I need to get postcodes quick and not mess about with zapmap. Google can not get my accent very often. She still can not understand Burns Square Ayr.
  13. @domhnall I just checked out Straiton Park and Ride which will the handiest for me really for coming and going from the Cameron Toll area. So offski for a while now.
  14. An evolt i3 evolt has just arrived. That is only the 2nd I have ever seen with a driver and near a charger. A black cab is waiting for me to get off the CCS.
  15. I am back at Hermiston park and ride before going south. I charge to 98% before hitting the road or to 100% putting in the last 2% at home usually. Today I charged in Aberdeen before heading back to Edinburgh. A White Tesla came off the charger as he was finished and just sitting on the phone. Lovely to Perth / Glenfarg then torrential through Fife.
  16. The charger maintenance I see are not driving EV,s that are doing to many miles in a day to mess about using chargers.
  17. @Luckypants the percentage of charge and speed charging can only be seen when charger is plugged in and the drivers door is opened or shut or the car switched on and off which is rediculous. I am sitting charging now as just done 130 miles north from being charged to 98%. I arrived with 40% and it will be about 40 mins till back and 98% and 200 plus range. I am using an app on my phone and a Garmin watch to easily set trip. The My Vauxhall app knows everything the car is doing as far as each journey, times, charging, speeds and that is what I use as to check on the car, get alerts as to nearly charged and I can scoot off on my bike and know I can get back soon enough to let others charge. There is an app that gives others your number to text to see you long you will be charging. No hidden trip on the Corsa electric, just a millimeter and a count down on the range.
  18. @domhnall thanks for that, just reading on phone while at a charger so will read again later, sorry if there but how many miles has the car done now?
  19. @domhnall things have been great with it. Driven 2,500 miles in less than 4 weeks since picking it up and no issues. The most ridiculous thing is there is no tripometer. Enjoyed ever mile of driving as none have been for anything other than pleasure and leisure.
  20. I agree you have paid the £20 and should be able to charge just the same. But I think that you should be able to use Tesla chargers as well at tax payers expense. Of about 7 hours spent at Perth park and ride charging I have seen only 1 Tesla charging up at the 12 available chargers. I forgot to check out the Forth visitor centre chargers today as I read they have been out of order for 3 months so will check tomorrow. I have used the Hermiston park and ride a few times now as anyone on chargers have been friendly and chatty and not been greedy about just charging to what they need or moving to another charge type.
  21. Edinburgh and area is a real fiasco trying to get the use of rapid chargers. So many Black / white hybrid range extender cabs sitting charging even when the charger speed is really slow.
  22. Guest_ replied to vrskeith's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Simples really if one the choices of Skoda Enyaq suits your needs then great as with any EV. If running them for private or personal use takes an hour or so of your time or of the working day while traveling for work then the saving is made on the fuel not required to be bought and the taxes you can save. Those that can not use an EV for personal or work use do not have to even bother about looking at them just as they did not buy A Citigo if they needed an Octavia, Superb or a Kofiaq. If an employee and you have a company or fleet EV that requires charging then that is not meaning you need to take your break in some park and ride with no facilities or at some place where there are only inflated prices. Once you start using EV chargers you will meet all sorts that more than happy to tell you how they are benefitting financially. It is very much about the economics as much as anyone bothering about the environment. @skomaz just to be clear, those that are able to work online or on the phone can work from the vehicle or KFC or anyplace else while charging. Obviously taking a break as in your own time is taking a break. It is something reps and travellers have done for decades and in this modern times they still do as they tramp around the UK in comfortable vehicles.
  23. Guest_ replied to vrskeith's topic in Skoda Enyaq
@skomaz I said what I would be doing and not what others should. So a big difference. I can earn £100 or a £1,000 in an hour but not often enough to be leasing a Tesla or even bothering to drive one. But if I was paying higher taxes then I would be certainly looking to benefit from what I can get by using an EV for business use.
  24. Guest_ replied to vrskeith's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Basically if I was on £35 plus an hour and in regular employment and doing high miles for business I would in a leased Tesla and using Tesla chargers and other Rapid pay as you goes and not trucking around in a Skoda. But then it's about what suits people really.

For commercial / business users that Its covered by grants. Maybe too much bother for some to look into the economics of it. In Scotland also grants, and for private users chargers can be installed free to them and vehicles purchased with 6 year interest free loans. http://goultralow.com/fleets-and-businesses/grants-incentives Scotland.
