Well you see I'm buying 2nd hand........ Ive just discovered that the SE PLUS has no bloody arm rest either as standard

right but the key word being " option " i.e. not part of the standard build

interesting, ive searched high and low and coudlnt find an **elegance model** with bluetooth or multi-function steering wheel Did you buy this car from new and specifically get the bluetooth and multi-function steering wheel added as extras to the elegance ?

thanks and by the " stalk " do you mean something like the indicator ?

are you 110% sure ?? I would have thought you could just have bluetooth without the multi function steering wheel on my current car which is not a skoda, I have bluetooth and no multi function steering wheel

Thanks can anyone tell me the following, in regard to bluetooth..................and by bluetooth, I just mean simple a way to pair your phone with the car and just make calls, im not on about seeing your phone book on the radio display or anything fancy, just simple bluetooth So in order to have bluetooth, do I need both : 1. 4 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio and telephone 2. Telephone preparation GSM III with Bluetooth (UHV + rSAP) and Maxi-dot - PT4 Or just one of them ?

now my next q, "why so few " miles on it ? :~)

thanks Denis, had a look so I want cruise, bluetooth, arm rest, ac, trip computer and maybe MFSW So looks like the SE PLUS has some of the above and the elegance has some of the above,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but neither have both So ill have to try and pick one model that best fits and retro fit the stuff I want Any one know if a MFSW can be retro fitted or would that be too big of a job ?

So between Elegance and SE Plus specs, Elegance is the higher of the 2 specs So you would expect Elegance to have all the specs..........................and more than the SE PLUS But that is not the case. For example, SE PLUS has bluetooth and MFSW as standard, the Elagance does not im buying 2nd hand and its a pain in the arse, im looking for a car with bluetooth, cruise control and MFSW and neither of the above cars has all as standard So I have to troll through sites and find an elegance or SE plus with the extra options I want

I wish Fubar ; ) But going back to "why so few in 2010" I mean, it's not as if they weren't manufactured in 2010........so I just dunno why so few of them Maybe, the people who bought in 2010 are tending to hold on to them...........I'm just perplexed over this

Sound, thanks for that. Tried it and only 4 Octavia 1.8's in the whole of NI from 2009-2012, and surprise, surprise, none from 2010 ; ) So very limited in the North too unfortunately

Im looking at buying a 2010 Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI petrol. Ireland does not get decent spec. cars so I will more than likey have to go to the UK for the above car I'm looking on autotrader.co.uk and doing a national search When I do a search. I see a load of Octavias for sale from 2011 but only 2 or 3 from 2010 Anyone know why there are hardly any Skoda Octavia 1.8 tsi petrols from the year 2010 for sale in the UK ?

Thanks for all the replies one would think that the Elagance ( as its a higher spec ) would have all these things. Thing is then, the SE plus lacks some of the things the Eleagance has, think SE PLUS has smaller tyres and less power than eleagnce, so a bit of a pain tryin to find the one with all the things

Jaysus, that's basic enough with the L & K, you would expect it to also have Bluetooth as standard

Hello old thread I know If you do not have maxidot, does that also mean you do not have a trip computer............showing real time fuel usage etc. ?

Im looking to buy the Octavia 1.8 tsi from 2010 onwards Im looking for a model that has a certain number of specs, but there are alot of different models ( ambiente, se, se plus, elegance, l&k etc. ) and im finding it hard to find the one model with the exact specs. im looking for Im trying to find the model that has these specs: > bluetooth > cruise control > electric windows all round > maxidot display > trip computer > multi function steering wheel This maybe alot to ask for Is there any of the models that come with all the above as standard ? Or is it a case that some models have **some** of the above as standard...............and then you have to find one where the original buyer added some of the specs im looking for ? apologies for the petty post, im just pedantic : ))

aahh jaysus, we are gettin ridden in Ireland : ) Add the fact that I cant get an Octavia 1.8 tsi in Ireland by default and have to import it from the UK : (
