Skoda superb mk2 2010 dsg estate 2.0 tdi
It's a significant job, but there are 'fixes' including a longer shaft, updated pumps and drives. General consensus is the 2.0 140 BSS engine is a lemon, best avoided. Some homework would serve you in good stead. IIRC there's a fairly comprehensive thread over on audi-sport.net (and some on here). Several cars across the VAG range were affected. Gaz EDIT: found the one I was thinking of: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/2-0tdi-oil-pump-balancer-shaft-problems-the-definitive-guide-audi-vw-skoda-seat.140949/

Skoda superb mk2 2010 dsg estate 2.0 tdi
It's the 170 engine, so won't have the oil pump drive shaft issues of the earlier 2.0 140 BSS engine, but I mention it just in case you look at other similar cars as well. The hex shaft wears and fails, often catastrophically. Worth being aware of. Gaz

Mystery Broken Window
Time's undoubtedly not on their side. I had similar with a Honda Accord that was broken into (They stole a faulty CD player that skipped like a good 'un ). A reasonable job was done for the glass that was on show, but my children were young at the time, so I took it upon myself to clear all the broken glass. Taking my time, it probably took half a day, including taking the seat base, and door speaker out for better access to a tricky area. Sorry you've had it happen - any fallen objects nearby or projectiles in the car (might be really small), or grazes in the paint? Gaz

Unexplained Coolant loss
Perhaps they could show you what valve on what tank 🙄 Fixed is what counts. Could have been a wiring fault or a plug not plugged in to a temperature sensor, or the water pump/another part of the cooling system. Fingers crossed it's sorted and the saga draws to a close. Gaz

Unexplained Coolant loss
Where the coolant is seems to indicate it's coming from the expansion tank cap/lid. It's a good shout by Jack to get a new lid, as that might make it an easy fix - best to start with the easy/cheapest solutions. Have you had the bonnet up with the engine running, at temperature; it might become obvious with just a visual check. That there is no oil in the coolant, or vice versa is a good sign. Unfortunately it's also not conclusive, so a sniff test to check the coolant for exhaust gasses might prove reassuring. Sounds like it needs further diagnosis as to what's going on (if it's not the cap). A stitch in time, and all that jazz... Gaz

Cleaning Leather Seats
Yep, and less is more. These are the same two bottles I had when I had my first Skoda (Mk1 Superb) ten years ago. One of my best purchases for car care. G

Was quite atmospheric up Beachy Head tonight. Found a nice quiet spot, then the world and his mother joined me: Always amazes me how many people turn up, and leave their engines running and lights on. One bright spark eventually turned her lights off as people were moaning, then promptly left, with only her DRL's on. Gaz

Unexplained Coolant loss
And if they are, amongst other things it might be an idea to have a sniff test completed, to see if the engine is pressurising the cooling system. I see the current tank has 'Mit Silikat' on it. It'd be an idea to check if it has the silicate bag in it, whether it's intact (a cause of coolant system blockages if it ruptures) and get it removed. If that's coolant residue just below the mit silikat symbol, it could be a sign the coolant is coming out the tank's lid. Gaz PS: if you've not already seen them:

Anything I can do to improve the DSG on an 18 plate VRS?
I have the same 230 and drive train in my 2018 Golf GTI. Mine won't try and pull away in 6th at 1000rpm (and nor did my previous 220 vRS), so maybe there is something up with your DSG's basic settings. I'd certainly look to a reset and updates, before considering a remap. Gaz
