  1. I always thought the Bridgestone Potenza was a hard tyre and very noisy. Went to Conti Premium Contact which seemed better. But it is a very subjective thing.
  2. That's a lot of money. I'd expect a main Skoda dealer to know exactly what is wrong before you need to pay any over. They must have seen failed flywheels before. If really seems like a problem, take it to an independent specialist for a second more honest opinion and more reasonable parts and especially labour rates.
  3. I think there may have been some different versions of heated screen, some better than others. Mine (MY20) is perfect with no visual interference.
  4. The parts they fitted and the work done for the previous repairs will have a warranty but this will be time-limited so you'd have to check. Was it the same fault all along? Doubtful because they replaced one cracked radiator. The water pump is a known weak point but they replaced that. Was the radiator really cracked and did the water pump really fail, or were they just guessing and throwing parts at a problem they couldn't diagnose? You'll never know but then again it's no bother to you because it was all done under warranty. A system pressure test should be carried out to correctly diagnose the leak. Sorry, but sometimes things go wrong and you have to pay to get them fixed.
  5. SE is supposed to mean Special Equipment or something, you should get quite a good spec. It isn't really very easy to go stripping a car of its equipment these days, with all the coding involved it probably isn't worth anyone doing it. More likely they were just lazy about describing the detail, or maybe it's not an SE after all. Or maybe it's a ringer. Does the car suit you? If you want it and they want to sell it you can haggle hard.
  6. Engine damage comes with major overheating episodes. If you have avoided any of those it should be OK. Still it may use more oil in future. Is it high mileage?
  7. Another AA user here. Live traffic from Google navigation is a life saver for me, living and working as I do in the BTDZ (Bristol Traffic Disaster Zone). Playing podcasts all the time.
  8. If you order a car with virtual cockpit, also spec the ambient lighting
