dont dissmiss some of the more budget tyres I put a pair of nexen's on the front of my vrs tdi and to be honest they grip better than contact 2 and are not wearing at the same alarming rate either

Thanks for the replys think i am going to try the vredestines, does anybody know if you can ask for different tyres when buying a new car cos my vrs tdi is due to be swaped in june 09 and i will not buy another if it comes with the same crap conti sports as this one did 14000 miles and its worn the full set cos i did a front to back swop at 10000

well the time has come to replace the tyres on my octy vrs tdi now i know this has probably been covered a dozen or so times but i want something that is going to last a bit better than the naff contys that come as standard nearly on waer limiters at 10000 miles and thats with the wife driving most of the time. I probably have only done about 2000 of them but suffer from a big right foot. Now i am looking for a reasonable tyre with good wear life but not the silly price i.e abpout £100 quid a corner tops car goes end of june 09 to be replaced with a superb if the wife has owt to do with it. p.s she is on 18" rims the car not the wife that is:confused:

Looked at the new superb yesterday got to admit very nice car but one thing which i am shocked at is on the elegance spec models why is the 6cd player not included in the standard spec when you are already paying out £23000 for the model i am looking at:thumbdwn:

well supurbia i'm 6'4" tall and sat in an elegance spec superb yesterday and with the seat at the back i was strugleing to fully depress the clutch so yes plenty of leg room for us lanky gits. Bloody nice car p.s. excuse the spelling

Anyone heard any thing about what we have got to look forward to for next years vrs l'm hoping for more power on tdi and 4 wheel drive cos l think everyone would agree this would be a good thing.
