  1. Sod that if you dont want it it to drink oil start giving it the beans my new vrs is just short of 1k and and all we have done is kept it below 4000rpm
  2. has not set their status

  3. Have done my new vrs with autoglym HD wax same day as i picked it from the dealers and must say it gives a good glossy finish and the water beading is unreal
  4. Well another update just been to a family do over in longridge went on back roads that I know like the back of my hand and on the way home the car has blown me away I dont think I could have made any better progress in the VRS and the cornering lights are a hoot. I would say that it is one of the best kept secrets going :p
  5. The sales manager at my dealer has lent me her cr170 elegance spec instead of the fabia pd, whilst they are waiting for some paper work to turn up for my octy vrs and I could not belive how good this car actually is well mannerd planted on the road vrs quick well nearly I must admit that it could be a car for the future the only thing that puts me off and I dont want to upset ant yeti fans but its not the best looking car on the road all that aside I would consider it for the future
  6. As the topic states this is how l am feeling had to hand over the keys of my baby as my current wheels turns three years old at midnight l am lucky that my dealer has lent me some wheels as my new baby is not due till next week thats what l call good service :'(
  7. Dont understand all the fuss ordered my vrs with most of the extras on 20th April and am told by dealer will be delivered to them around the 21st june
  8. Was tempted to white but we live in and around the farming comunity so I have stuck with race blue :p
  9. My fl vrs is due in july and I was wondering what are your thoughts are on the lifeshine systems, I had this done on my pd 3yrs ago and to be fair I didnt rate the protection my thinking was with the new car treat it with the high definition wax as soon as i get her and then every 6 months treat again and use super resin in between and save myself £300 in the process :p
  10. Why would you want to buy a boring car when you can have a real motor my advice if the money is not a major issue join the cult tou will not reget it :p
  11. Must admit I was shocked I very nearly canceled my order because of it but I could not resist the extended vat free offer
  12. As stated in my other topic have ordered my new car but WHY do skoda not let us have a factory bluetooth with a steering wheel on a manual car this surely would be a winner in terms of sales would probably sell more of these than dsg boxes. I just dont get it in this day and age why cant they do it I cant see it being to difficult so now it looks like we have got to add a parrot or something along those lines just because we didnt want a bloody flappy paddle gearbox. :p
  13. Thanks for the replys guys well decsion made ordered a blue one this morning couldnt help it washed mine last night and well when I saw her this morning !!!!!!!!!!! :p
  14. Help wanted I am about to place an order in the morning for a new vrs cr to replace my 3 yr old race blue pd but the problem is I have seen some white vrs's and I am now undecided, I was going to go with Racing Blue again but me and the wife are quite taken by the white The question is how bad is it to keep clean and is it worth saving £400 :p
  15. I am thinking of changing my vrs pd for a scout now i know that sounds a little extreme but I have heard a rumour that there is to be a 170cr option availiable soon has anbody else heard of this. My thinking is 200+ bhp with four wheel drive, so I guess its true that skoda manufacture happy drivers. Or maybe thats just a dream!!!!!
  16. I am in the diesil camp so much more punch and torque so less changing gears. When looking for my current car i tried both which is a vrs bit of a difference to what your looking at but in real world driving terms i would not swap back to a petrol one thing that i found really worring was the complete lack of engine braking with the petrol it was like i had pressed the clutch down just felt like the car was free wheeling when shut off which means to me more braking more pads per miles my vrs tdi has almost 30k on it and the pads are only half worn i know that sound a little off topic but its worth considering in your runnig costs :wonder:
  17. I had a similar puzzle to you but when i looked at the figures with skoda only wanting £9500 for my 21,000m 2 year old vrs tdi which no one had abused apart from me and the wife it was like this is a no brainer when similar cars were going for 12-13k on autotrader. :p
  18. MY wish list is vrs 4x4 3.0 tdi but alas most things that people want we will never get due to vag politics ie they dont wont octavia's to out sell golf, a3,a4,etc because competively priced they would do for fun.
  19. Got my vrs pd in race blue(argueablly the best colour) new in july 2007 at the ripe old age of 34 best thing I ever did. This was my first ever brand new car, took me about 18 months to convince the other half that a skoda was the way to go she had the badge snobery going on and when I finally got her into a show room she couldn't belive how good they actually were and now she loves her vrs and doesnt want to part with it. :wonder:
  20. Hi craig was thinking of doing the same swap my self your thoughts / regrets on if you still think it was a good idea or wish you still had your octy vrs
  21. Hi all is the superbs 4x4 system full time like the A4 or is it a part time I kick in only when needed like the octavia
  22. Cheers chaps will contact dealer today and tell the wife she doesnt need a self shifter
  23. Hi there fellow briskodions i have noticed that sometimes when trying to engage first gear on my 07 vrs tdi with 22000m its a right pig and you struggle to engage the gear even with foot flat to floor on clutch is this a trait or is it driver error. please help cos i dont want to go to dealer and look like a right prat:thumbup:
