  1. Ive had a look at the cambelt, and it does look worn. The car had 36000miles,and cambelt hasnt been changed. Do you think its worth changing the cambelt in the hope to rectify the issue?
  2. Okay thanks, ill disconnect the ect sensor tomorrow and see if it starts. If it doesn't, could it be either the camshaft or crankshaft sensor ?
  3. Yes the rev counter moves up and down slightly when cranking. Havent had the car scanned, it doesnt start up, so cant take it to get it diagnosed. Is the ECT sensor the coolant temp sensor??
  4. As title, my sisters 2002 Fabia 1.4 16V Auto turns over, but doesnt start. The car had an oil, oil/air filter and spark plug service 1000miles ago. When the car turns over, its smells of fuel. Ive read it can be a number of things; camshaft position sensor, temp/map sensor, coilpack etc. Can anyone shed some light on what the issue may be? Thanks in advance.
  5. As per title, Mk4 Golf 40mm Lowering Springs. I bought second hand yesterday, original owner stated they are bought off ebay and were on his car for 1000miles if that. I fitted them to my VW Bora yesterday and didnt like the comfort to be honest,so reverted back to standard. For sale £25, Collection from Birmingham, 2mins away from West Albion football stadium. Lack of space to store springs, so need em gone. Just like these on ebay; 201532097611 Text on 07719910477
  6. Hi all, i recently bought a 2002 VW Bora Sport TDI after selling my Fabia Vrs, and it annoys me that the Bora does not show miles to empty on the trip computer. I was wondering if anyone can enable this for me? I live in Birmingham, so preferably someone around Birmingham? If anyone can, how much would the charge be? Thanks all

  16. I see, so is it normal for grease to escape? I do have the cap as its a brand new bearing that I had fitted, I was just worried about the grease escaping whilst turning the bearing by hand..
  17. Ive just had the passenger rear wheel bearing changed on my brothers fabia vrs, however the big torx nut seems to be missing a washer, as grease is leaking out when turning the bearing by hand. Been given mixed info, some garages have said there is no washer behind the torx nut, others said there is or don't know. Anyome happen to know?
