CarPlay Steering Wheel Control (Skip tracks) Not Working Until Unplug/Replug
Hi all As the title, I find that when using Apple CarPlay (wired, at least, as I don't like the lag with wireless) when I first turn the car on and plug my phone in CarPlay works but the skip forward/back buttons don't work. However, when I unplug the phone and plug it back in it will work. Have tried updating both the phone and (I think) the car. Any ideas? Cheers

Paint Damage. Can I fix it myself and, if so, how?
Hello. I managed (let's not ask how to save me my dignity) to put some minor damage to the paintwork on the front of my new(ish) Scala. Some pictures attached. Is this something I am likely to be able to do myself (bearing in mind not the most DIY savvy), or have I gone far enough that I need to get the professionals involved (and any recommendations in East London if so?). Cheers

'74 Plate Scala - Creaking from Dashboard (with video)
Hi all Picked up an Approved Used Scala SE L today (~4,000 miles) and am very happy with it aside from an annoying creak from the trim around the virtual cockpit that I didn't notice in the test drive. Video here (taken by a passenger before anyone slaps my wrists!): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uHoEasDFzkTp4-djKuO4lhDZEdByEzOr/view?usp=sharing As you can see, it stops when I press the plastic trim, and I only need to press relatively lightly to get it to stop. So I suppose options are to get in touch with the dealership and see if they will fix it, or if anyone has any bright ideas I'd be willing to give them a try to avoid that faff... Thanks

Scala 2023 vs Facelift 2024
Hi, sorry if this is somewhere blindingly obvious and I just can't find it, but is there anywhere to find a concise list of the changes to the Scala facelift model vs the old? I'm more interested in the internal/technological/non-cosmetic changes. Was set to go for an Approved Used on the old model and save a few squids, but have seen a couple of changes which make me think I might hold out a few months before upgrading and grab a new model (USB-C fast charger would be useful, and the bigger infotainment screen?). But would like to see a full list! Thanks

Fabia Mk III Infotainment system question - what changed between 18 and 68 plates?
Thanks John that was very useful actually. I think I’ve sussed it: - 18 plate Colour Edition used Bolero system with 4 buttons - 68+ plate Colour Edition uses Swing system with 3 buttons - the 4 button unit on the 18 plate SE L is the same Bolero system as the Colour Edition - the 4 button unit on the 68+ plate SE L is an has the Amundsen sat nav. - the 3 button system that appears on the 68 plate SE (not L as I wrongly had read) is the same as the swing unit in the colour edition. With respect to cruise control, all the SE L’s have this, whereas the SE does not - one letter caused me all this confusion! phew.

Fabia Mk III Infotainment system question - what changed between 18 and 68 plates?
Hi all. I'm looking to buy a 2nd hand Fabia (having had a MK1 VRs back in the day) and have a query relating to the infotainment systems - have had a dig and can't seem to find the answer. I'm looking at either an SE L (110 bhp) or Colour Edition (95 bhp). As I'm sure most of you know, in mid 2018 there were a bunch of minor changes made to the Fabia, one of these was an upgrade to the infotainment system. In the Colour Edition, the infotainment system went from having 8 buttons to 6 - seemingly on all of them. On the SE L, some 68 or newer plates have the 3 button but some have 4 (and I can't find any that have Cruise Control and the "newer" 3 button system). What is the functional difference between these two systems? Is one "better" than the other? Cheers

Which Infotainment systems are these?
Anyone? cheers

Which Infotainment systems are these?
I see. I thought that might have been the case. Does that mean that the Colour Edition went from having Sat Nav built in (4 button units on the 18 plates) by default to not (3 button units on 68 and newer plates)?

Which Infotainment systems are these?
Thanks for that, although this site doesn’t seem to cover this change at 2018. I guess my question is also a more practical one. Is the three-button unit a “newer” unit, and what are the practical differences?

Which Infotainment systems are these?
Hi. I'm looking to upgrade to a new Fabia, looking around late 2018 (post facelift). However, I'm looking at a couple of different models (SE L and Colour Edition), and the SE L has a couple of different radio options. Some have three buttons, the same as the Colour Edition radios from 68 plate onwards (so I assume this is the newer one). Is there any difference in terms of function? Thanks Chris While some have four buttons:
