  1. Age 52. Beard most of the time since age 18 - 20. "French beard" on the last year or so, also from time to time in the past.
  2. On a second thought, I'd prefer it was written "...you have won a Vauxhall (Opel) Zafira". Jokes apart, seriously now (the Zafira is not a joke - explained later) : Done Google to find drawing for parts of the head restraint, came across a "Fabia II" drawings from a workshop manual and gained confidence to open bottom plastic trim and get out some plastic broken "catches" (for the upholstery edges) - not really a problem. But also from each restraint, a bigger "catch" came out which concerning the drawing there are 4 intended to clamp the "n" shaped metal frame / legs to the plastic structure. http://skoda.workshop-manuals.com/fabia-mk2/index.php?id=660 This finding, in conjunction with an article I came across the search, is really intriguing ! http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/pdf/esv/esv22/Session%208%20Written.pdf The only vehicle (in the article) that has "good" rated rear side & center head restraint is the "zafira". Sorry to spoil the party, just drive carefully ! I suggest check yours - maybe similar findings is case for VAG lineup cars recall.
  3. Not a duplicated "rattle" thread, but just discovered a new rattle source: Trying to locate a rattle coming from behind during driving, yesterday have inspected the back interior surrounding of the Yeti and discovered a rattle while taping on the head-rest of the rear seat behind. Taken the head-rest apart, shacked it and there is something rattling inside ! Both L & R do the same ! Asking myself either go to the dealer (warranty still pending) or dismantle it by myself in order to fix it and be lucky to find inside a small residue of plastic writing on it : "Congratulations ! You have won a 4x4 2.0 TDI Yeti !" Are you also so lucky ?
  4. "Yeti at work" Under the covered entrance of a recent project, delivered to the owners last week. Not intended to promote my work - just a reminder sometimes I'm also working...
  5. Other than suggest having the sealing between that box and the body checked, I can't contribute much. But the interesting thing that comes up, is the fact it is called "battery box" ! What was the initial purpose of it ? An additional battery for camping ?! Yeti Battery Box.pdf
  6. Not a Yeti, just a FIAT Panda (1st edition). Amazing how modest this town's authorities are ! Also, hope you have obeyed the traffic lights in there...
  7. Oh... San Gimignano delle belle torri (...of the beautiful towers). Indeed a beautiful place. Envying you for enjoying a hotel there. Thanks for sharing and taking me back to our trip to Italy two years ago !
  8. Please clarify: Is it a physical thing you experience while moving the stalk ? If so, I suspect there is a mechanical fault inside the stalk mechanism, that appears only in a certain circumstance. Possibly something with the link between the stalk and the steering wheel - that device which turns off the indicators after cornering / turning back the steering wheel. Just my thought.
  9. Just checked all kind of combinations with the stalk (main beam on, AUTO, etc...) together with indicators on / off positions. There is always a middle "indicators off" position. Couldn't get a situation without the middle position. So I'm afraid your stalk might be faulty from production, and the fault appears randomly. I suggest you get it checked at the service.
  10. Just kidding. In fact, I was used from past, that "blue is for boys, pink is for girls". Now days we are less formal about that colors thing.
  11. As I said the other day (on the "Yeti collection road trip" thread): 'Stunning Landscape..." As "horn3t" said earlier about Israel: "...I think that I will have to add your beautiful country to "places to visit" list..." - I'll say the same about Scotland ! Also, from my point of view, I would suggest reducing Gamma (about 0.70) - tried it on my PC but didn't post it, as I think it would be inappropriate posting an edited photo without permission. (It's also a picture thread after all)
  12. Here's another and different one. "Solomon Pillars" at "Timna Park / Nature Reservation", north of Eilat. An ancient copper mines site. This photo was admitted for the Briskoda 2013 Calendar challenge as a mid sized entry for the April page. And of course serves as my profile picture...
  13. I can see improved HT leads protection. What material are them made of ?
  14. Here you go MarieK ! Just couldn't resist switching from a boring project to this little challenge. Drawn with CAD software, so if you can import to PS a DWG file (or have access to a CAD software) and want further fine tune it, I can email you the file. Note the decal is not horizontal as the Yeti leans forward - "Yeti" label is horizontal. Drawn using the dimension's picture side view of the car from Skoda site, as background.
  15. Why is that ? Can't you give the printing shop a file made by you ?
  16. Just take a snapshot of the badge. You know what to do with it in PS...
  17. If I may suggest, something bothers me on how the decal ends towards the rear wheel arch (right side of this one). I would like to see it extending just up to an imaginary offset arch following the wheel arch and the end of the plastic trim. I think a straight line will do: (here's a rough 'sketch") Furthermore, I would suggest using the original font of the "Yeti" badge on the rear hatch (didn't bother "sketching' that). I trust your PS skills !
  18. Definitely the rear air vents for heating. Fig. 89 p. 87 in the English pdf manual. Metal you say ?! Mine are plastic ! Hope they're strong and elastic enough not to get damaged by rear passenger's feet. Keep the mats under these vents. edit: I can see they're labeled as no 7 in the picture but no mention of them in the text.
  19. Now, that is a SNOW monster ! Oooo... I see there are blue pressure washers for girls (and yellow ones for boys) !
  20. Happy you're safe back home. Stunning landscape you're living in ! Guess the "Snowfoamed the yeti..." thread will be once again brought to the front tomorrow. BTW, what about the "Juke" ? Traded in ? (sorry if I missed something about, if it was on one of the discussions). Funny is the fact our daughter takes driving lessons now days on a... "Juke" ! How do you find the difference between the cars, mainly in terms of ergonomics / geometry friendliness ?
  21. Interesting aproach on that photo. Never thought about it that way. While headind into the woods, taking a brief look backwards, that scene caught my eye and decided to take the picture (just some steps sideways for fine tuning, and snaped it). It was taken in Toscana, Italy... No, seriously, near "Maagar Lachish" (Lachish reservoir) at north of Qiryat Gat. Here's another one, that strongly reminds me the Toscan lanscapes, a few houndred meters from the above one, slightly different direction:
  22. Not offended, looby. Guessed it might be something with English sense of humor - which I'm not so sharp and up to date with. Although I think my English is not bad (esp. technical English), I avoid participating threads in which most of content is based on English humor. I'm afraid misunderstanding something or being misunderstood. So I just read and enjoy upon my understanding limits.
  23. Please explain. Your statement may have few meanings...
  24. "CENSORED PLATE" or... "SHY YETI" For MarieK: it's just the overexposing NIKON D80 - but I love it !
