I get in, start the engine, turn the music on, seatbelt. I can roll to the main road as its slighty down hill so roll in second gear. Then drive normal.
If ive been driving like a mad man i will usually give it 30 seconds just to chill out before knocking it off

The problem still exists slighty even on the better fuel

The same map has been fine on the other cars done on the day including another vrs, some passat 1.8t's and an audi a3. I didnt notice the problem till i stuck morrisons fuel in, i had it on v-max for 50/60 miles after the map

The car is fine in every other aspect the boost is bang on. It only seems to struggle in 3rd gear or above. 1st & 2nd are fine.
Unless ive got more vac pipes knackered somewhere. The two i replaced went into the inlet manifold.
It was suggested to fill up with 98octane, disconnect the battery for 15mins so the ecu can relearn it values?

Is it true that some maps take time to "bed" in? Ive only done 70miles or so. I noticed it performed better on 98octane fuel but its so expensive

Had the vrs remapped on saturday, was running bang on but ive noticed in the higher revs, 5500rpm onwards its running out of puff, like its leaning out or something. I checked all the vac pipes and replaced two which were split. Still the same.
Theres no fault codes at all, although the other night the EML was flashing for about 2minutes but still no codes. I put the standard DV back on today which made no difference.

Update.
Had remap done on saturday, car feels totally different now. I also fitted a pipercross panel filter aswell.
Next up, full valet inside & out.
Its slowly but surely taking shape now.

The one ive bought is plain black and hidden underneath my engine cover. Not to bothered if its shiny or not as long as it works and works well when the car is remapped

The word on the street a fortnight ago was the ebay ones are perfect lol

I fitted the red spring. Everything seems to be fine and the turbo seems to pack a tiny bit more punch. The old plastic one seemed to be dumping loudly. Certainly louder then when i bought the car anyway. Just got a tiny hiss now the ebay one is on. All is gravy

Well the unit in the door is the offending item. I will try a bodge in the next few days to see if it will work.
Anyone know the best place to buy electrical pins

Theres a tiny stump left but its minimal. Because im a bodge artist im thinking i could get a pin and jam it in the connector and hope it makes enough contact to work maybe

Had problems with the locking and the windows on my vrs. Figured it would be the CCU in the door, i was correct. Was full of water. Anyway sorted it out the windows work, the passenger door lock isnt constantly clicking and the doors lock/unlock all apart from the drivers door. The pin, i assume for the drivers lock fell out the ccu when i removed the plug :(
Any suggestions? Apart from replacing the ccu? Also if it needs replacing does it matter that my car has a sunroof? I assume its linked.
