  1. Clumber Park was lovely last night......
  2. My 2023 1.5 TSi isn't especially quiet, although the switch to Michelin Cross Climate was a marginal improvement. Mine is developing a few rattles from the dash too. Interestingly I recently purchased a 2021 Octavia iV estate (same engine) and it's a considerably smoother ride (16' wheels) and noticeably more refined in the cabin, compared with the 2 year newer Karoq.
  3. Agreed - this is my solution. USB stick (music) in left hand USB C port and 90 degree USB C - C (for phone charging) in right hand port. Completely blocks the cigarette lighter, so often end up using the rear one for charging. I found the lack of SD card slots frustrating
  4. As mine was a factory order I went with winter pack+, which included the excellent heated windscreen, along with heated (outer) rear seats πŸ‘
  5. Thank you for an excellent summary of your experience with a 2.0 TSi Karoq. On reflection this is probably the car I ought to have bought. The 1.5 TSi isn't terrible, but is a bit gutless on the open road and I miss the traction, dependability and ride comfort of 4WD and independent rear suspension. The worse MPG with 2.0 TSi and 4WD is a price worth paying I suspect. I seem to recall opting for a 2.0 TSi meant foregoing Varioflex seating, which I admittedly find useful. My ideal Karoq would be - 16" wheels, a decent tyre sidewall, 4WD, a torque convertor Auto (I'm not a fan of DSG), independent rear suspension, no sunroof (I'm a previous owner of a Yeti with a sunroof πŸ’¦), 2.0 TSi and Varioflex seating.
  6. Stunning πŸ‘Œ
  7. We were a bit late getting out tonight.................
  8. Colourful end to the day (last night)......
  9. A few from last night - lovely to see the changing colours as the sun set....
  10. Just flown over - the paraglider appeared to be pretty close πŸ€”
  11. We were lucky enough to spot what we think were a couple of Eurasian Jays earlier (along with a Woodpecker) earlier...............
  12. Currently sat in a car park watching the sunset😎
  13. Sunset a few nights back..........
  14. My 2023 Karoq was updated today. My excellent local /supplying main dealer confirmed the campaign is 57NL and relates to the car locking with keys inside. Took less than half an hour

  17. I'll enquire when mine goes for this updateπŸ‘ https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/525148-recall/
  18. I ran a previous Yeti on 16" Steel rims and winter tyres and it rode superbly and would happily switch to 16" wheels and tyres with a decent sidewall, compared to the 18's on my current Karoq πŸ‘

Given the implications of the car locking I took advantage of the 1 month free trial of care connect and reactivated itπŸ‘ In the longer term I guess an annual fee of Β£36 might be worth it for peace of mind? In the meantime I took the opportunity to download an updated digital certificate, but remain a little frustrated this function is effectively behind a pay wall. To be honest I hadn't missed the functionality of either care connect or infotainment online, once the initial one year expired, especially as we tend to use a combination of either wireless Android Auto (which is typically rock solid) or wireless Apple Carplay (which tends to be glitchy from time to time) rather than the built in satnav. I wonder if you only get the option of a free month trial once?

I had notification from my local / supplying main dealer regarding a recall outstanding for my car stating 'There has been a recall go live on Karoqs and Kodiaqs regarding the vehicle locking the keys inside and we have to carry out a software update'. I recall a KESSY equipped SEAT Toledo I previously owned allowed me to lock the keys in the boot, which necessitated a trip for a family member with the spare key! More recently I did lock our Karoq and then returned shortly thereafter and popped the boot and inadvertently left the key in the boot, before slamming the boot closed, although the system functioned as intended, beeped and popped the boot open againπŸ‘ I have read several stories online relating to this issue though and one post in part where a company owned Kodiak locked itself with the engine running and it was suggested to maintain a subscription to connect services, as this would allow remote unlocking in a scenario where keys are locked in the car. Must say I'm pleased I specced the third key option and might now reconsider my decision not to renew connect services πŸ€”
  21. Mine had a new steering motor very shortly after collecting it. Whilst I wasn't aware of a problem the dealership picked it up as faulty whilst investigating the noise from the front suspension. The tech also mentioned previous factory guidance was to replace top mounts in response to the noise I'd noted, but this was changed to a direction to apply grease instead.
  22. The owner/pilot of a Spitfire was putting on their own show over the airfield. Fantastic to watch from the free car park πŸ‘
  23. Yes - we'd noticed loads of vintage aircraft flying over Wimpole Hall, so headed to Duxford πŸ‘
  24. A few aircraft from today............
  25. My local main dealer has looked at the car multiple times, so I can only assume there a no outstanding recalls
