  1. Just passed 2k miles now and now reasonably adapted to the online tech. Finally settled on a configuration for the virtual cockpit (smaller display in my car) and am in general enjoying the car, although several recent forays in to muddy car parks have left me wondering if I'll ultimately regret foregoing all-wheel drive πŸ€”
  2. I'd kept 2 hanging hooks from a previous Yeti, so no shortage of them in the Karoq Noticed I have a halogen boot light, but no removable torch sadly - must upgrade the feeble boot light to LED.
  3. I intentionally ordered the space saver spare for my manual 1.5 TSi SE L, as I was keen to maximise boot space, but still benefit from a useable spare. Will hopefully never need it, but reassuring to know it's there The desire to have a spare came from suffering a sidewall puncture in the middle of nowhere in a Yeti many years ago.
  4. Ordered a dynamic blue 1.5 TSi SE L November 2022, which subsequently arrived March 2023. I'd added a few options
  5. Gotta love a great crested Grebe!
  6. Visited Rutland Water earlier today. I struggled to get close to the Ospreys as they were the other side of the lake - clearly need a bigger camera!
  7. The Moon has just appeared over the horizon and is a stunning deep orange..........
  8. Colourful sunset (out near Carburton) earlier. Full Moon tonight, which was very yellow when it first came up, but disappeared behind a cloud before I could get a photo πŸ˜•
  9. Lovely to be out in the sunshine after work this evening.........
  10. Also disappointed to see there is no cornering function, which on previous Yeti's involved the fog lights. I did look through the customisation options (in Carista) - not possible to enable them apparently☹️
  11. I did briefly consider speccing the matrix LED headlights, but couldn't justify the (extraordinary) cost. Pleased to see the heated windscreen is now some type of film, rather than individual filaments. The heated seats are excellent and the seats themselves are a considerable step over my previous Yeti, in terms of comfort. I went for winter pack+ so was intrigued to see how the heated rear seats would work, given they fold and come out entirely. Pretty clever systemπŸ‘
  12. Despite the minor disappointment of the halogen foglights, halogen interior lights and non-auto adjusting LED headlights I'm pretty happy with the Karoq. I've covered around 1500 miles since collecting it a couple of weeks back and it's averaged mid forties to the gallon. The 1.5 TSI isn't a sparkling, or particularly eager engine, but it cruises quietly enough (2k RPM @70mph in sixth) and is surprisingly efficientπŸ‘
  13. I tried the headlight range control in the infotainment system and it does indeed manually adjust the headlights up and down. Slightly disappointed with this as a SEAT Toledo (Rapid clone) I'd previously owned had automatically adjusting LED headlights, despite being a considerably older platform.
  14. Fog lights are most certainly halogen and the LED headlights are the lower power variety which do not require automatic leveling. Despite this they do seem a significant step up over the xenons in my previous Yeti.
  15. And quite literally a pile of stone πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  16. A few from yesterday's visit to Yorkshire sculpture park - a few Damien Hurst exhibits on display 🎨😚
  17. Last day of operation Cobra Warrior, so we took a trip to Waddington. The departing Finnish f-18's set off our car alarm!
  18. Definitely a day for Rainbows.........
  19. Ladybower....... VID_20230323_145738.mp4
  20. Sunshine and showers in Derbyshire today! VID_20230323_155057.mp4
  21. Drove around 150 miles on the A1 today and made no particular efforts with regards to maximising fuel economy. Have to say I was impressed with the MPG πŸ˜ƒ
  22. Main dealer confirmed the passenger wing mirror isn't auto-dimming 🀨
  23. Headlights appear to be non self-levelling, given the option exists in the entertainment system to manually raise or lower them. They do seem pretty decent at night-time thoughπŸ‘
  24. RHS Harlow Carr earlier today..........
  25. This evening's walk...........
