There is a Swan nesting just behind a local restaurant - Mum was on the nest this evening, but we got a quick peak at one of the cygnets (several eggs still in the nest). So many rats! The duck was an odd one - constantly staring at me, with it's head tilted to one side. Was quite disconcerting😬

Spotted at Rufford this evening - never seen so many goslings in one family !! We watched them swim all the way across the lake in a perfect straight line, with one parent at the front and the other at the back. They've done incredibly well to hatch that many!

New Karoq owner
Long-term average (brim to brim) is now 43.8 mpg (just passed 4000 miles), which the cars computer closely agrees with Most recent longish (108 miles) journey yielded a very respectable 56.8 mpg (lots of 50 mph restrictions on the M1).

Heated Front Screen
I did initially consider buying an SE Drive Karoq and adding Winter pack+, but recall this was more costly than adding the same option pack to an SE-L

Heated Front Screen
Heated front seats are standard on the SE-L

Heated Front Screen
My car was a factory order and arrived as specified - I suspect the majority of cars arriving with the wrong spec were wrongly ordered (by the dealer). Headlight washers just seem to waste washer fluid in my view - certainly no replacement for the wiper and washer system previously fitted to Volvos of old!! I understand the LED headlights on the older Karoq were of the self-leveling variety and I was a little disappointed to find the ones in my car aren't, although on balance they are superior (in terms of light output) to the Xenons in a previous Yeti. No removable torch in the boot seems a little mean too.

Heated Front Screen
Had a similar dilemma when speccing my 2023 1.5 TSi SE-L. Ended up going for winter pack+, primarily for the heated screen, at an additional cost of £425 (order placed November 2022 and car delivered March 2023). The heated rear seats are a bonus and have been used on occasion. Great to see the heated screen is now a film rather than filaments. Given the choice however probably wouldn't have opted for the heated rear seats and would have simply added heated screen.

Not much wildlife on display this evening, but the Bluebells are stunning and it was an ideal sky for reflections 👍
