  1. Finally managed to remember to take the tripod with us and stopped off for a couple of Astrophotography shots on the way home🔭📷 PXL_20230118_183503054.NIGHT.mp4
  2. Colouful sunset this evening and Jupiter very prominent...........
  3. Colourful sunset and clouds earlier this evening
  4. A few from Calke Abbey this afternoon - managed to dodge the rain
  5. Night mode on my old Huawei p30 pro - virtually pitch black when I took the photo (hand-held 8 second exposure!)
  6. This view caught my eye on the way home this evening............
  7. Final night time walk in 2022 (with a very bright torch😁) - best wishes to you all for 2023👍
  8. A few from the Christmas light show at Belton House (Grantham) Mars and Jupiter very prominent .........
  9. Just before dawn this morning
  10. Thick fog descended this evening, but strangely cleared within the hour. Made for a pretty atmospheric walk!
  11. A few from Attenborough nature reserve (yesterday). Was intrigued by the variation in sizes of the Robins - old/young, male/female, fat/thin?
  12. Clumber Park earlier today........
  13. As ever we ignored the original research and decided to implement some half-arsed botch instead. Seems it's not a Government minister to blame on this occasion. https://www.theconstructionindex.co.uk/news/view/transport-minister-hoodwinked-over-smart-motorway-roll-out
  14. Just had a close shave on the supposed 'Smart Motorway' that is the M1. Stationery vehicle in the inside lane, obscured by a HGV in front of me, which the lorry missed by a few feet! Unbelievably the driver of the stationery vehicle was poking around under the bonnet 🤷‍♂️ Bring back the hard shoulder!!
  15. My thoughts exactly👍 I did genuinely consider an eUp! / EV Citigo, but made no sense at the prices they were asking, especially when I paid £7500 for a pre-reg (0 miles) SEAT Mii design - 5 door, metallic, Beats audio, AC, Bluetooth etc.
  16. Ice was pretty thick at Rufford park earlier
  17. Rain drops in torchlight......
  18. pinkpanther posted a topic in Škoda Citigo
Certainly a lovely bit of nostalgia, but I'd have to think my SEAT Mii would probably manage 65-70 MPG over that kind of route (best tank average is 74 mpg). The SEAT weighs 21% more than the Austin and I imagine survivability in a RTA (in the SEAT) is hugely better than in the Austin. Progress! YouTube
  19. Rufford Park late now virtually all frozen over 🥶
  20. A few more from Attenborough - the Moon was especially colourful
  21. Cold last night 🥶 Lovely (? full) Moon (with Mars in close attendance).........
  22. Several years and 57k miles later and it's time to move on! The SX4 averaged 40 mpg in mixed driving and the only mechanical failure was a leaking seal on the 4WD system (out of warranty unfortunately, but relatively inexpensive to fix at the main dealer). Not a car I'll remember with particular fondness, but dependable family transport. I decided on a 2WD Karoq 1.5 as it's replacement and can only hope it is as reliable as the Suzuki🤞
  23. A few from yesterday's visit to Attenborough nature reserve.........
  24. Lovely at Keddlestone Hall earlier, although rained just as we were leaving
