  1. There are a couple of people in Devon: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?msa=0&mid=1Td73_uUUqscV3nRm5br_o89PmBU&ll=50.62991326496137%2C-3.200993109221139&z=9
  2. The following method is the only way I could get it to work on my 2018 Karoq 1) Delete all data on a 32GB or 64GB SD card, format card to MS-DOS (FAT 32). Name the card UNTITLED. 2) Unzip the downloaded file (it can take a while) and double-click the unzipped Folder. 3) Select all the contents (two folders and a text file) and drag all three items onto the just-formatted empty SD card. 4) Launch the free Mac app “CleanMyDrive2” (or another similar app) to remove Mac-specific invisible files from the SD card. 5) Insert the card into one of the SD slots of the Karoq's infotainment system in the glovebox. 6) On the Navigation screen, on the bottom row, press "Settings" > “Version Info“ > "Update (SD/USB)“. The car engine does not need to be running, and if the ignition shuts off before the update finishes, just press the engine ‘start’ button once and repeat the above procedure from Step 6. The Update Progress Bar will resume where it left off so you don’t have to start updating from scratch. 7) Power everything down and remove the SD card. Kev
  3. Thanks cril410sti, will re-initialising the computers lose all my settings? And which of the two battery leads do I disconnect? Or would it be better to let my Skoda dealer do this while they service my car next month?
  4. Thanks, in the Infotainment system (car settings) there was an exclamation mark where it said "Start/Stop System" and when I clicked this and it was Off saying "high power consumption". I clicked it back on. We'll see what happens next time I use the car!
  5. I took the top off and can feel the clear fluid right to the top (which indicates it's filled way past the MAX line). It would be much easier if the fluid was coloured so I could see it though.
  6. Thanks everyone, I'll get my finger out and try all of your suggestions in the morning.
  7. While checking my oil and coolant level on my 2018 Karoq Edition TSI DSG I noticed a fluid container marked "Dot 4" next to the coolant reservoir which had MIN and MAX line markings on the side but this reservoir looks empty. Or could it be a completely clear liquid that I am not seeing? I am guessing this is the brake fluid but there is no warning on my dashboard that it is low. Should I be concerned? Thank you.
  8. This website indicates that my particular model has a cam belt not a cam chain 😞 https://timingbeltorchain.net/skoda-karoq-nu7-engines-models-2017-timing-belt-or-chain-2114
  9. My 2018 Karoq Edition 1.5 TSI DSG has done 13,500 miles in 5 years. Should I get my cambelt changed at the next service in September? I'm sure the dealer will advise that this work would now be due...
  10. Thanks, I never thought of that. I'll test it again when I haven't got the aircon on.
  11. Thanks for the replies. I haven't accidentally turned the function off but if it doesn't reset itself after a long run this week I'll mention it to the dealer when I have the annual service later this summer.
  12. A few weeks ago I started up my 2018 Karoq Edition DSG 1.5 TSI and while I was driving I heard the engine make the restart sound a couple of times which was strange as the engine was already running. Since then whenever I stop in traffic the engine no longer shuts down (and no longer starts up again when I press the throttle as it now stays running all the time). Any idea how to fix this please?
  13. Thanks, my dealer is a few miles away so I bought this one for £2.50 which should do the job (if not I'll send it back): https://www.amazon.co.uk/DXIA-Covers-Universal-Hexagonal-Removal/dp/B08262X3M9
  14. I checked and the bolt cover removal tool is missing. Is this the one I need to get for my Karoq Edition? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BHP5PML9
  15. I'll have another search in the boot and let you know if I find it 🙂
  16. I just found this hiding under the spare wheel - is this the locking nut?
  17. Oops, no I didn't, I'll check again. Thanks for the tip!
  18. Thanks, everyone, for your replies and suggestions. I just checked the wheels on my 2018 Karoq Edition and all 5 locking nuts on each wheel look identical so I'm assuming that my car does not have locking nuts so I should be OK when getting 2 new tyres for the front. I'll ask the fitter to swap the two rear tyres for the front and put the new tyres on the back as recommended by those webpage links. I'll also get my tracking done, and I do try to keep my tyre pressures at the setting recommended on the plate inside the filler cap.
  19. My 2018 Karoq petrol DSG 'Edition' needs a couple of new tyres on the front before the May MOT as both are worn on the edges (11,500 miles). Are my wheels fitted with a special locking nut? If so, where am I likely to find it? I actually don't recall ever seeing one. And if I don't have one will the tyre fitter still be able to fit me two new tyres on the front? Many thanks.
  20. I thought my 19" wheels were a little firm when I picked up my Karoq Edition in 2018 but once I let some air out of the tyres to reach the correct pressure (as indicated under the fuel flap) then the ride has been fine.
  21. The aircon in my 2019 Karoq Edition runs "cool" at best - yesterday it was 26 degrees in the UK and the cabin temperature was only just comfortable. Certainly not as cold an aircon as I would expect for a flagship car, it never has been.
  22. Is there any way for the dash display to let me know when the keyfob battery is low? My brother's Octavia tells him this so he replace the battery before it dies, but my keyfob battery just dies without any "low battery" warning. Thanks.
  23. I'm not aware of such a button..........
