  1. Noticed this after cleaning the car today. Nearside rear: I thought it was a bump stop but looks more like a spring.
  2. Did an oil change this weekend and made a big mistake.... New oil filter had 0 oil in it and when I started her up there was a nasty noise for about 1 second. Seems to run ok but engine ticking... cant be sure if it was like this before. Will it be OK? Should i dump the oil for fresh now? Thanks
  3. I'm trying to diagnose why my AC is not working. If your AC works on your MK2, could you please do a test for me: With the engine off (and cold), try to turn your compressor clutch by hand and see if it spins. Thanks
  4. I made a bit of a boo boo when jacking up the rear today.
  5. On way to work noticed I had no rear wiper and when I got there I got a silent alarm (just lights flashing). When out to unlock and relock and noticed no lights when locking.... The Wiper actually worked again for a couple of times, but then tripped out. So I did lots of searching and from what I could find it's potentially a faulty lock module. I suspect it's the boot as this makes sense as to why the wiper doesn't work. Does this sound about right? I guess I'll have to get the boot apart and check out the lock.... Will
  6. My previous motor was MK1 Leon Cupra. It's done 157,000 and the missus is driving it now. Loved it whilst I had it.
  7. 1-derful. No, seriously, nice 1. 1 would like to congratulate you. You 1.
  8. Turns out after doing the handbrake test it's the rear brakes.
  9. The pistons went back ok. I did have the carrier and caliper off. I'll have a god at cleaning up and lubing those pins. Thanks
