Been waiting for someone to post a photo of a black VRS estate, but seems none have arrived yet... ...so have been wasting time in photoshop trying to envisage what is in store for me soon. Can't wait!

Wow - what a beast in black! I have one just like it arriving in a week. I agree about the grill - did some plastidip tests and all worked well, so will be posting pics of the results assuming I don't mess it up! Days cannot go quick enough for all those with VRS's on order : )

Hi, I am waiting for a new vrs blackline, and hope to get it remapped by Shark. It should give more speed, torque and mpg. They are also remapping the DSG gearbox so that it shifts at more appropriate speeds for driving around town - the standard settings mean it shifts into 6th at around 30 which is not much fun to drive. They recommend that you chat to your dealer first, and also inform your insurers as the premium may rise. They even offer a manual control panel so you can reboot your car into the factory settings for servicing purposes (for an extra fee!). I am still not 100% committed to it, as it is a scary move, but going for a sensible all round remap rather than an all out speed orientated one seems to be a win win decision! Good luck if you go down this route... If I do, I will post feedback on how it works out. Cheers : )

Thanks for the tips! I will be spraying my grill with black plastidip and also maybe the octavia badge to make it a 'blackline' version... I will post some pics in a couple of weeks once it is done fingers crossed...

Has anyone tried plastidip on their chrome grills? I have seen some great youtube tutorials - just search for 'dip my car' and there are plenty... I am waiting for my new Octavia, and want to tone down the grill as it is pretty large against the black bodywork! I have tried plastidip on a few test surfaces, and it comes out looking great, but wondered if anyone had experience of how it holds up after a few months of washing etc. Any help gratefully received! Hi, I am a new member and really glad to join a community of like minded people. Having owned Audis, BMWs and Volvos in the past, for some reason it has taken me a few years to realise what I really needed was a Skoda! A black VRS blackline estate arrives in 2 weeks and I am struggling with the wait like a kid with an advent calendar waiting for Christmas... I plan to spray the chrome grill black with a plastidip product - has anyone experience of this? Cheers : )

Ordered my blackline estate last week, and was told it was just over the channel, with some others in Germany? and some others already in the UK... Great deal, and hopefully I will like the black wheels - not sure my girlfriend will as they make the car look more aggressive.
