  1. My 06 plate 1.9 diesel L&K had this issue, my 59 plate 1.4 tsi Elegance had this issue, My 62 plate 1.4 tsi SE+ has this issue. Sorry I don't have a fix Vesuvius but it seems to be a trait. I assumed that it was down to poor insulation around that area. I've kinda gotten used to it as its only an issue in winter, made worse by my habit of driving with my left hand on gear stick. Also, don't think its as much of an issue as my current model doesn't have the arm rest
  2. Cheers mj - printed this and gave it to the dealer, together with the TPI# (twice) and its now fixed. Had the car on the motorway today and no wind noise at all even up at 80 erm 60...
  3. Cheers. Got the courtesy car onto my insurance for nowt due to the fabia not being worth any more than my octy. Cheers Direct Line, although there is a provision that I make no modifications to it while I have it Now if I can only get the dealer to locate and fix the whistling noise...
  4. Thanks mantamad, Black_Sheep, silver1011. I am already planning a wee chat with after sales manager due to this being the 4th trip back to dealers since getting car new in September. Never had an issue with the 2 previous octy estates that I leased for 3 years each
  5. Car going back into dealer tomorrow (again!) and I am getting a courtesy car while they sort mine. Had courtesy cars before however this time I have been told that I need to contact my insurance and change cover on my policy. Is this a new policy that dealers are taking with their courtesy cars or are they just taking the proverbial out of me? Oh, and mods please move if I should have posted this in a different forum
  6. FFS! a mix of over priced clothing with free skoda advertising and corporate freebies that are even more over priced
  7. Used to love my old diesel L&K with heated leather seats, lovely warm feeling. I'm sure it'll be a regular feeling for me in another 30 years
  8. Had mine in at the dealer the other day, went for a drive but due to calm sunny day (hey its Scotland!) had to hit over 80 before it came on. Left the car for duration of day - back to discover that they were unable to trace it despite them ruling out the door seals(different noise) during the drive and me telling them it was likely to be the front grill . They say it will need to be left for a few days - I dont fancy swapping it for a base model citigo though. Maybe I should take the 59 plate TSI in at the same time and let them compare since this has never had any noise...
  9. On my 3rd Octy estate - 1st a diesel and then 2 petrols. Couple of niggles with newest but nothing major. Like others I think you find the bad stuff on here due to people looking for fixes and the nature of having a gripe - I include myself in this
  10. Now onto my 3rd Octavia II Estate and the heater has been my main gripe over the 6 years that I've leased (now owned). Don't think there's been a fault, just takes an eternity to heat up and always seems to be a draft in the gearstick area between the seats. First 2 cars had dual climate with the aircon box between the front seats, new one doesnt but same issue! Asked a work mate who has a superb - no issue for him. Sorry it this is off topic
  11. Thanks allan - yes its henry's. Still waiting on response...
  12. I bought my new Octavia estate SE+ in October. Picked this level of trim over an elegance which I was leasing due to the inclusion of sat nav. Pretty easy sale for the salesman as I have leased 2 Octavia Estates and knew what I was wanting, not even a test drive required! Already been back to dealer due to out of date maps - M74 extension has been open for at least 15 months. Although they sympathised they told me it was nothing to do with them - contact skoda uk. Tried that they told me it wasnt their fault, take it up with dealer when new map available I understand mannyo's point re updating but why should I pay for a brand new motor which has an out of date sat nav which will need updating in a few months...
