  1. Nope, no objections at all! Please all go ahead! As long as people can let me know if they get any replies then I really don't mind Thanks!
  2. Yep, the guy actually got into contact with me after seeing it being shared all over FB
  3. Can't thank you all enough for sharing this around! Have to say I'm pretty overwhelmed on how this has spread throughout the UK! Guess that's the power of the Internet and having a great bunch of people surrounding you!
  4. No, nothing yet Adam. And yes, emailed the officer dealing with the case and he's responded with what I though he would; needs exact location of the sighting, and company names on the flatbed etc which the chap that phoned me unfortunately didn't recall
  5. Thanks for that Toxic! Just had a phone call from a friend of a friend working in the Northants area who painted a pretty good picture of the car. Roof bars, lowered etc... Said he saw it on the back of a recovery vehicle heading towards the M1 on the A45 a couple of hours after it was stolen; smashed windscreen and no plates on it... :( Not a definite, but SE's do stand out, especially round this neck of the woods
  6. Thanks again everyone! Just found out they've pinched all my pay slips, so I'm guessing that's where they've found out my workplace from... This is the car they were in anyway, a pretty new Ford Focus. A little blurry but the reg appears to be along the lines of T14 MAW (although putting that plate into an insurance comparison site brings up an older mondeo, so there's potential they're running it in false plates)
  7. Horrible thing is it was around 5 hours between them stealing it (viewed on CCTV) and me finding out it had gone and reporting it. First I get a phone call from my Dad telling me the house has been ransacked, ran to the car to come home to find out its missing from the car park. Beyond gut wrenching I have to say :(
  8. Thanks everyone! Here's a piccy anyway, as in the title, Reg is: BD07 VWR
  9. Hi all Well i've had the worst day ever!! Had my house burgled into today, basically they've taken all electrical appliances they could find! Along with that they managed to find my spare set of keys tucked away in the kitchen cabinet. They've somehow found out where I work, driven there and taken my car!!! Reg is BD07 VWR, so if anyone sees it around Northants / leicestershire please let me know Thanks all!
  10. I had a very similar arrow drawn on my shoulder when I had a plate fitted to my collar bone! Despite the fact that it was quite easily identified by the bone practically poking through my skin http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/286022-broken-collarbone-surgery-or-not-hmm/
  11. Perhaps not the quickest, but saying that I removed my front door card and refitted to take the above photo 30 mins before I went to work this morning, so its not too bad. I don't currently run any of the clips on the front due to the screws on the bottoms of the door card, so I guess that saved me a bit of time haha!
  12. Ahhh sorry about that, in that case then I personally think it would be best to remove the door cards as the handles are clipped into place.
  13. Hi Keith They're based in Wolverton just on the outskirts of MK, directly alongside the Grand Union Canal. Their postcode is MK12 5NL, so I'm sure if you pop that into Google it'll give you an idea of how long it'll take you to get there Ryan
  14. Similar to the fronts, the upper sections are removable but the lower parts are part of the door card. Check out the first few pics from this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/226475-fabia-door-carrier-seal-repair-illustrated/ Pretty simple procedure
  15. The upper parts of the handle can be i.e. The piece surrounding the window switches and the panel behind, but the bottom parts (if memory serves me right) are part of the door card.
  16. I'm Northamptonshire based and use Unit 18 for all the work / modifications to the car!
  17. Recently fitted the Thule kit onto my car - Wingbars along with the 591 carrier. Won't say what I paid, but working in the cycle industry certainly has its perks
  18. Could anyone also let me know which booster I would need aswell for the mk1 Fabia? From looking around I've seen people give links for the PC5-52 and the PC5-90, but I can't really tell the difference between them... Thanks
  19. Hi Ben Did you make a decision at all in the end? I'm looking at the two exact same HU's and a little undecided on which to go for.... Like you, i'm a bit of a novice aswell on all things 'car audio', so if anyone on here with a little more knowledge could identify which one is considered 'better' that would be great! Thanks Ryan
  20. I've read somewhere here before that the PCB directly underneath the aerial suffers from water ingress which leads to corrosion. About a £30 part to replace I believe, but involves partially removing the headlining inside the car to remove it. Going to give this a shot myself sometime soon as my radio is pretty shocking to say the least
  21. Similar to the guys above really. Fishing line to remove the strip, followed by petrol and elbow grease to remove the remainder glue / sticky stuff. Did continue a little further with mine and used the DA polisher and Menzerna compounds to remove any swirls / defects. So much nicer to do without the strips there!
