  1. morning, Yes, it is. Still putting Miles on the courtesy FE Mk4 (saloon) for the time being. Zero communication by when it will get fixed but not pushing hard as I have a courtesy car of equivalent standing.
  2. Is it a removable or a fixed one? If fixed, does it get picked by the reverse sensors?
  3. I think it's also down their their price. I bought on Feb 27th, a brand new FE SEL estate with 5y manufacturer warranty for cheaper than many of the used one. It was a great deal and it's a good car. If I reject it, I will lose lots of money finding an equivalent bargain...
  4. You could still spec a new car with all the FE options, I don't believe any option on the FE is unique to FE and not offered anymore?
  5. @Jmageehave you found a way to start a call (selecting contact, etc.) and to hang up too using the wheel?
  6. My car hasn't moved for almost 3 weeks; however, for the last 7-10 days, the Vehicle status is not available anymore so I can't see the total mileage nor the fuel left in the tank.
  7. May I ask which dealership this is?
  8. Same here, waiting for fix.
  9. I raised the non-compliance to the UK road vehicles regulations on March 8th, 4 days after taking delivery. It was to the CEO of the dealership group and the head of PR of Skoda UK. My car has been with the dealership since March 18th and I have a courtesy car since.
  10. @TheUltraRunnerThanks for this. Did they mention any changelog or timeline for the 1671? I believe D are running 17xx already so, they would be included in 18xx
  11. I just looked in the first brochure for MK4 (June-20) and it does say that 1.5TSi can't be retrofitted. Looking at the current one, it does seem that it is not possible to retrofit a towbar to any of the petrol variants.
  12. @Ajdude@tobster911may I ask which engine the 0kg towing was for? My loaner is showing 0kg too (1.5L TSi). I am really hopeful that won't be the same with my 2.0 TDI when it is finally returned to me!
  13. Is the mph/kmh issue fixed on your car? If so, what software version have you got now?
  14. I'm with you on this even if this loaner (Octy First ed) has more issues than mine! Anyway, I have had this courtesy dealership car for almost 3 weeks already and my concern is about the it getting dinged in a shopping centre carpark, etc ! At least with a private car rental, I have an excess insurance cover but not for a courtesy car. And it also winds me up to only do small fuel top up to not hand it back with a full tank when it was almost empty when collecting...
  15. While they keep my car for the kmh/mph issue, I enquired about installing a detachable towbar. I was quoted 1,014GBP (inc of VAT), which seems on the high side but it would be an original one rather than aftermarket so should help with the 5y warranty. Has anybody got an original Skoda Towbar ever retrofitted? thanks
  16. @gazfor which issue(s) are they reviewing the cabling? It can't see the cabling impacting the mph/kmh one but it is true that incorrectly spec'ed cable gauge or lower quality cabling can create lots of strange and random issues.
  17. Mine was brand new but old stock... interestingly the first edition, which has been loaned to me for the last 2 weeks, has even more issues than mine. I guess it does not have 97EQ applied...
  18. Thanks, Very interesting update and it is inline with my impressions that, despite not acknowledging it, they have realised that the non-compliance to the UK road regulation is a major issue that they need to address promptly. My dealership has had mine for 2 weeks already (out of 4 weeks ownership) and I cannot see it being released anytime soon. They are helpful pushing back regarding the slow/delayed front assist as Skoda UK is saying it's a characteristic of the car. I haven't got any communication from Skoda UK, just a template email from Kate Laws after CCing executive office yesterday. Edit: btw, I have started reaching out to the various UK Government agencies (VCA, DFT,etc.) but it is proving challenging to identify the right entity/contact to get an official confirmation of whether the cars are allowed to be driven on UK public roads while non-compliant to the UK road regulations.
  19. Do you mean that they changed the left/right dial displays or you had a new digital cockpit layout which was not available before?
  20. Interestingly my earlier Email to the dealership with the head of PR in CC has just bounced back so looks like I may have been blocked by Mr Panarisi (head of PR). It only took being in CC of 7 emails from my first one on March 8th.
  21. I am glad to see that having gone the route of the non-compliance to the UK Road regulation and getting the Skoda PR involved may be helping to get this resolved. Whether it is a SW fix or a HW replacement, I am happy with either solution as long as it gets resolved promptly so I can have my car back .
  22. Interestingly the courtesy car I was given as the same first rev of HW and same SW version but I don't get any crackling sound so there must be an issue somewhere. Hopefully, they will identify it.
  23. Mine received 97EQ on March 3rd just before I took delivery. It does not address the Meteic/imperial issue.
  24. FYI - I have just dropped mine to the dealership for investigation... Confirmation that the mph/kmh was escalated from UK tech team to the factory.
