  1. Hi mate, thank you. I've sent you a PM. And no problem, will see when there is a dyno day around my area. Will keep you up to date :) feels strong though :D
  2. Managed to sort one of the niggly issues this morning. Gear stick was just staying where it was left last rather than going back to the middle. Gear selector had a load of crud in it, cleaned that out and perfect now :)
  3. I'd like to look into the possibility of fitting a 6 speed box with LSD, if not possible then just fit a LSD. Look into turbo intake pipe and water intercooler setup. Should map to between 245 and 260ish. Numbers isn't everything so will see how she handles/feels etc.
  4. Haha I will indeed be tracking it at some point ;) What makes you prefer the wavetrak over the quaife out of interest? Trevor did do an awesome job.. Let's hope I can extend that over time :)
  5. Hi all, So it's probably time for me to start my own build thread on the new purchase Now I'm sure most of you know the beast but for those that don't here is the build thread up to the point when I picked her up; http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/355948-trevorb33s-fantasy-green-fabia-18t-sleeper/ So the day started really really early yesterday to make the trip up to York from Kent. Managed to get there early, sorted the paperwork out with Trevor and started heading home. Now I will say that I've never experienced a 1.8t car before, just seems to have skipped it.. until now anyway. Well first impressions are just wow, I don't know what I expected however it's just incredible. Journey back home had no major issues. Filled up before we left with Tesco 99. Got 190 miles on half a tank, and that was with some playing along the way as well Once we hit the m25 the stop start killed the economy and in the end used a little bit more than 3/4 tank to do 250 miles. Obviously didn't buy the car for economy so that's just a plus It's the first car I've owned in a very long time that I just want to keep driving, the noise is just incredible, coupled with the pops and bangs it's just awesome. As always I have lots of plans however I think on the top of the list would be a limited slip diff. No point in doing much more power wise until that's done. So that's that for now. Will keep this up to date on progress.
  6. You've built an awesome car mate. Thanks again and I look forward to continuing what you started :)
  7. Interested :) Will see if I'd be able to get time off work.
  8. What?! :| "In the frequently asked questions section on Facebook, it says the rules of the game could include "fights, alcohol, murder, rape, smoking, anything at all" but contestants must "obey the laws of the Russian Federation"." http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/38342421/russia-does-the-hunger-games-for-real-in-siberia-but-no-guns-are-allowed
  9. Thank you, I did try with you guys but unfortunately you couldn't offer insurance on the car as the bhp has been increased more than a certain amount from standard.
  10. Does anyone know if any of the companies offering modified car insurance offers 3rd party cover on other vehicles if you have fully comp with them? Thanks!
  11. Hey, sorry but the interior is the first thing that sold.
  12. Yes if I could get it off in one piece :( it's bonded on, tried heat gun and all kinds but wouldn't budge.
  13. So this one has been sitting for a long time but today finally finished it up in preparation for a new toy coming soon The easiest way for us to get the suspension and everything off was to roll the car on to its side - was good fun Anyway this is what she looked like underneath; And this is how she's sitting now waiting to be collected to be scrapped; Ricer look
  14. T5 owner is my mate. Problem was he emptied the van (mostly) and the lack of weight caught him out.
  15. Golf clutch completed at 1:30 this morning but done at least. See you all tomorrow
  16. Been a busy week to get all my mates' cars ready. Had to get engine and gearbox on the t5 van rebuilt (map being done today), clutch going in the 4motion golf today and tr7 with new radiator, and rebuilt the steering rack. My car?! Well it'll be there but it's slightly wounded and not running great at the moment.
  17. I'll most likely have some space for passenger rides at some point, got my dad and a few friends there but doubt they'll be out all the time.
  18. Looking for a quick sale, open to sensible offers.
  19. Also comes with the card with the security code on.
  20. For sale is my VW RNS510 LED version sat nav head unit with part number 1T0 035 680P. This is pretty much a Skoda Columbus unit but VW branded. Versions; Firmware V5238 Maps V8348 (V13) There is a small scratch on the bottom left of the screen and slightly over on the bezel (bought the unit like this) but can't be seen when it is on and in operation. Looking for £350 collected from ME5, Kent area. Can post at additional cost but payment to be made via PayPal and fees covered or sent as friends and family. Please let me know if you have any questions
  21. My theory is it's because more and more cars are now lease cars in effect, hand them back after 3 years and don't give a rat's bottom within that time.
  22. Massive thanks for organising this Richard! Looking forward to the day
