Yes I like the set up you have, so would be looking at buying the same.. I'm in the Leicester so you're a bit too far TBH :( -
2014 Octavia VRS, Air Con Smell

I've bought a new pollen filter anyway - it only cost a tenner. Hopefully this sorts the issue. -

2014 Octavia VRS, Air Con Smell
kylelcfc replied to kylelcfc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Thanks mate. This is going to sound silly but where do I find the cabin filter? -
Good afternoon, My air con smell is that bad I cannot use it. Does anyone else have this issue? It smells like a wet dog has died.... Anyone know what the cause would be? The car is only a year old

Afternoon guys, I have a 2014 VRS TDI and was wondering if it's worth me getting one of these boxes? I feel like the VRS should have slightly more power and this seems ideal. Do they affect the Skoda Warrenty? Are they easy to fit? Are there many known problems with fitting one of these? What would the benefit of a box be compared to a remap? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Clicking / Tapping noise when putting heaters on
kylelcfc replied to kylelcfc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
How do I search for leaves etc? Is there anything I can do to check? -
:( I'll try another later on after work... Maybe it isn't as bad as I think.. but it is far from silent in the cockpit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBBG1ee8lcs&feature=youtu.be Here's the sound. Does this sound normal? Sods law you can't hear it in the car on this video
-
I'll get a recording put on later this PM
-
I'll get it looked at... As it's no way silent when inside and I would say it's slightly juddery on idle too... Like if I was to hold my phone it'd shake in my hand slightly..
-
Mine sounds like a diesel when sitting inside with the doors closed though.

Any parts you buy from Alibaba will not be genuine. 99.9% of "Genuine" items you buy from China are fake -
Nice to know this seems quite common. Let me know if you find any issues as i'm very paranoid.
-
Ahh I see I may just be paranoid as I expect the car to be silent in the cockpit. It's not deafening loud, it just isn't as silent as i'm use to
-
Engine isn't knocking, it just sounds as though you could probably pass it as a diesel. I don't know if i'm being too paranoid, but from the petrols I have driven they have all been pretty silent.
-
What and how can I check a PCV valve? I think my thermostat is playing up as the temp on the motorway always goes to around 70... started to annoy me, could this cause it too?
-
It's on 73,000. It's recently been serviced too. Mine certainly isn't quiet like it's been stalled. What could be causing it to sound like a diesel?
-
See mine's quite loud idling you really could pass it as a diesel. Doesn't mean it's going to blow up does it lol?
-
I've got a 06 VRS Petrol, and it slightly sounds like a diesel - is this normal? It runs fine and doesn't skip a beat, but the engine sound is slightly loud in cockpit? The only reason I say is I upgraded from a MK1 VRS and that was silent. Help?

VRS Petrol Engine Temp Gauge
kylelcfc replied to kylelcfc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Expensive fix do you know? Is this a normal problem with these models? Also, would it matter if I drove the car for a week or so with this issue? Would it cause any damage? -
VRS Petrol Engine Temp Gauge
kylelcfc replied to kylelcfc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Anyone? -
Morning guys 10 miles into my journey this morning , I noticed the temp gauge was hovering over the 70 mark (bear in mind it should be stuck on the 90). After keeping a close eye on it, throughout the journey it was moving slowly, but the max it would go to is the 90, I just wish it'd stay there! Does anyone know why it's moving randomly? It's never done this before and something is obviously not right. Anyone with a bit more experience and knowledge wanting to shed some light? many thanks
