  1. Hi All, have recently just changed out my Mk3 estate for a nicely spec’d Mk3 hatch auto. The newer car has from the factory 10mm lower suspension, which I’m finding just a little too harsh. I’m not too clued up on suspension, but would it just be a case of changing the complete set of shock absorbers over or just the springs which would need changing to bring it back in line with the standard ride? thanks very much
  2. I’m just about to change from a mk3 estate to mk3 hatch. Chance opportunity to pick up a very well spec’d SE L low miles hatch as I wanted a DSG auto again. time will tell re how I find it as have had estate cars for years. As others have said i can’t remember the last time I ever load above the seat height though. Just got to sell the estate now
  3. I use a Carista Bluetooth code reader on my MK3, also used it on my MK2 Octavia and Superb. It doesn’t seem to do the whole works on out MK1 Fabia though so shall get one of the cheaper ones recommended above
  4. Ok, thanks I,m also thinking that Fabia MK 2 wheels will also fit as they’re 5 x 100 too
  5. Hi, We have a Fabia Mk1with 16 inch alloys, which I assume a OEM Skoda. Were looking to potentially stick some winter tyres on steels, but want to go with 15 inch steels. I’m guessing these are probably 5 x 100, which if I have understood correctly would then mean mk1 Octavia and Passat steels would be suitable? What about steels from a later mark of Fabia or did they change to 5 x 112? Can anyone confirm please? Thanks
  6. Oh yes, that’s another thing it doesn’t have is the plastic tray between the seat and roller cover. im guessing none of this stuff is interchangeable?
  7. Hi All, On my previous Octavia Mk2 & Superb estate the two side recesses in the boot had proper hinged covers over them, enabling hiding of all sorts of stuff whilst keeping the boot itself clutter free. This in conjunction with the variable boot floor made it all quite useful. My new to me 2016 MK 3 estate seems pretty darn basic compared to the other cars so open recesses and no variable boot floor.JJust wondering if anything can be retrofitted to cover the recesses? Im fitting a proper spare wheel this week, so the storage under the floor is also going. I’m guessing the Mk2 variable boot floor won’t fit, so shall need to price up via Skoda thanks
  8. OK cool, noted. I see they are readily available on e-bay, but just wanted to be sure to get one of the newer ones without the desiccant bag.
  9. I think they do/can have issue. Pull up a chair, sit down with a beer and search coolant. Loads of threads about various bits and bobs. Mine might have issues too, but the expansion bottle is so filthy I want to fit a new one first so I can actually keep a proper eye on it. Although, I'm darned if I can find where I can search a microfiche to get a part number. Good luck and keep us imformed
  10. Ok cheers, on,y one way to find ou. I shall whip the cover off to check 👍
  11. Might seem a silly question, but are these just reflectors in the doors or meant to light up? my previous cars a Oct mk2 and Duperb mk2 lit up, but nothing on my Oct mk3 SE Business model. Although it is pretty darn basic post being spoilt with the Superb. cheers
  12. Hi all, can anyone advise if the mk1 wing mirrors are all the same across the models? we have a mk1 2006 estate and have seen some VRS mirrors advertised, just wondered if they are the same? I'm only after a pair of the plastic covers to replace the scraped ones on our car thanks
  13. Ok great ta its the girlfriends car, so not wanting to crack things open blindly. cheers
