  1. cheers dude. A lot of people do say they sell their cars quickly on auto trader.
  2. Hey folks. Well after a month of still not selling the vRS (which i'm kind of glad about since i'm doing a lot of miles right now) I'm wondering if i'm doing anything wrong. I've still not used auto trader but I will be putting it up on their next month. I've been reluctant to use it since its so expensive but i guess i better bite the bullet. has anyone had any better luck compared to the likes of ebay and pistonheads? is there such a thing as making a car too cheap? I've made mine cheap to sell quickly so i can get the XR on the road. I've never actually sold a car before so its all new to me. cheers.
  3. lmao they just do the case and covers you plum not the whole controller or said laptop.
  4. Ha no way I used to live in Tayport 3 years ago. typical.
  5. That company i gave seems pretty cheap but i've not idea how long it lasts. I think it solves into a solid "sheet" layer into what ever its put on. People have been doing wheels and even laptops now.
  6. Depends how far you are. As i said I'm not too fussed on traveling depending what price you give me
  7. its a bit out there but have you thought of hydro-dipping? plenty of companys that do it and it works really well. http://www.hydro-graffix.co.uk/car-hydrographics-carbon-fibre.html skip to 1:10
  8. Prime example i did on a friends car. He hated having grey bumpers on his golf. He had it on a year before a stone chip made me do it again but its easy because all i had to do was peel it off, clean it and start again which only takes about an hour. before: after: But as i said, for small niggly bits it just cant grip.
  9. I get about 52mpg depends on my load. Thankfully VW/skoda/audi are pretty good at thinking about gear ratio's and power bands. 70mph in 6th is 1900rpm which is pretty much peak torque so the car doesn't have to work hard. I get better MPG in 5th doing 60mph or less though than in 6th. I dont see the point in 6th until your past 60mph just makes the car struggle.
  10. I got offered twice for a swap of a 330i for my vRS. Me thinks people are struggling to sell them because no one wants a big heavy thirsty beamer. just a warning.
  11. plasti-dip is great stuff! however i've noticed on small niggly plastic bits it struggles to find a grip for a long period of time such as grills. You'd be better sanding it somehow then painting it matt black or something.
  12. after explaining to my mum she was happy to wait and extra hour while i cleaned up haha awful.
  13. Some of these are ****ing brilliant! One was picking up the misses from a heavy night out in the golf cabrio. It was really muggy so had the roof down. Half way home she decides she needs to puke but it's a twisty B road and if i stopped i ran the risk of someone going into the back of me. So she leans out and does her deed. Apart from a bit going down the side of the car i wasnt bothered. the next day i got in it after cleaning the outside, wondered what that smell was and i had realised with the roof being down everything that had come out of the misses went straight into the back seats... I was meant to be picking my mum up from the airport in an hour
  14. Well your only the 2nd person out of about 10 that have been realistic lol the other one bought another Fabia but black. At least somone else agree's.
  15. Thanks buddy Its still for sale simply due to time wasters offering me the likes of £1500/£2000 or around that quoting "thats what its worth". I need a quick sale as I've got myself a XR3i and dont need this anymore. Am I not being able to sell this simply because its TOO cheap?
  16. I did it when i first got the car in winter last year and it made a hell of a difference. It warmed up faster and didnt over heat it also put my average MPG from 35 to 45! Diesel becomes a solid when frozen to a low enough temp but even normal cold temps can cause it to thicken and congeal which gives it less of a combustion. The small things make a difference too like wet weather, electrics taking their toll blah blah blah. The main point is, the warmer diesel is, the easier it is to compress (up to a point) and ignite (although ignition is the wrong term but it'll do for now) so your car can adjust its fuelling to use less to get the same power and economy
  17. Ouch. Happens to the best of us, hope you wasnt being too enthusiastic with your driving. Anyhoo a list of things: You could have buckled one/both your alloys, hence the bouncing and not turning properly. Check your wishbones, suspension struts/mounts and dampers for cracks or leaks, they will have taken a brunt of the force. Have a look at your sump and gearbox too to make sure nothing is out of place as they sit low and they might have been hit, look for dents oil leaks around sills. Don't want either running dry. Your tracking and toe/camber will be to pot as well but thats the least of your troubles right now. get it up on the ramps or axle stands then have a look around. If your lucks you might just need some new alloys. Hope its not too bad.
