How many miles out of Falken 452's would you expect to get?

Sorry I have to take issue with the really short life.

Maybe it's down to driving style

I've had about 25k from a set on the front and it's now on the rear with 4mm left.

For a tyre that grips this well I think that's a great tyre life.

My vRS came with Michelin PS2's fitted, done just short of 10k and the fronts have worn quite a bit.

Would I be able to put FK452's on the front with PS2's on the back? Or is it best I stump up the extra cash and put some new PS2's on?

Note: - The PS'2 cant handle the estimated 240ish bhp im running atm

How much is left on the PS2?

If it's 4mm upwards then I can't see why you won't get away without fitting the 452 on the front.

Be aware they take about 500-1000 miles to come in and get rid of the release compound from moulding.

That way you only put out for 2 of the things and can see if you like them. If you do when the PS2 are worn you can put new ones on the back.

Not recommended to put the worn ones on the back IIRC.

I'd ask the standard question Steve, what are you looking for from the tyre?

Max grip, max life, min price, looks, good wet, good dry, good turn in, NVH... What mix do you want as different tyres meet different requirements. Also take in to account your driving style, driving routes and the setup of your car.

No tyre is all things to all men.....

Tbh all of the above but if I were to put them in order of priority then I'd go with the following:-

good dry

max life

good wet

min price

I'll mention them again as they have had very positive reviews on other forums...

Nankang NS2, around £50-60 each. Not to be confused with the awful NS1.

Yes, there are some poor reviews but then there are for loads of tyres, its all subjective. But plenty of very positive reviews too. Worth thinking about considering the cost..

Choice of 3 for me:

P Zero Nero

Eagle F1 Assymetric

Bridgestone S-01

Outsiders

Uniroyal Rainsport 1

Conti Sport Contact 3

I'd give the Rainsports a look for sure. :)

My experience of Conti Sport Contact 2s would put me off the Contis tbh, although they did last forever!

Khumo ecsta steve superb in the dry not so good in the wet, but at £80 a corner they are a bargain.:thumbup:Ask hedge wot he thinks he has them also;).(Don't you Ian):P:D

Another vote for Eagle F1 GSD3s. Stock contis lasted 16k on the front and 25k on the back. Much prefer Eagle!

Better than nothing. :P:D

Actually they seem pretty good in the dry and I can't comment yet about their wet performance so I will see.

I still think, given the choice, I would put the Eagle F1 Asymetrics on.

I am going to put Toyo T1rs on mine when there due,i had them on my mark I and loved them.I used Mytyres.co.uk,But camskill seem to be very competitive £82.55 for 225 40 18.You need to get someone to fit them tho.
