this happens alot... just happened in an English court... Mr. loophole was employed by someone famous (can't remember who, even though it was in yesterdays paper!) was doing 65 ish in a 40 I believe, and they dropped the case, as the police couldn't prove the gun was calibrated.......

a friend of mine was done "apparently" doing 40 in a 30 zone, in his works van.... he rung me and said he wasn't doing 40mph... he'd seen th trap while comming out of the estate (stationary at a junction) and proceeded to accelerate very carefully to exactly 30mph... he rung me and asked for my advice... i said plead not guilty and tell then to take it to court and produce the evidence, because he WASN'T speeding, and the police dropped the case before it went to court..... (although of course this isn't the same, as he wasn't speeding, so didn't deserve to get done, however for the prosecution to be brought the gun must have been wrong!)

Mr Loophole just got Andrew Flinttoff off for speeding as the speeding ticket arrived after 14 days from the offence.

thats the one I was thinking of! it apparently arrived about 3 days after the offence, and wasn't able to be used as evidence in court....

I always thought it had nothing to do with when they arrived, just when they were sent!

Got lasered by old bill who was on his own, at 115 on the M4 at least 5 weeks ago and still not received anything in regard to my court appearance.

i very rarely use that road because of the nutters that drive on it plus its a cop hot spot

i prefer the Airth road or just past the Dutch inn

Technicality, for the value of "technicality" that equates to complete illegality. I'm not suggesting that the speed was safe at that place or time; just that I see nothing wrong with refusing to put your hands up when the "evidence" against you was obtailied illegally.

If you got tugged and the Copper said he was reporting you to the court then they have 6 months to issue the summons.....sorry mate :(

From a Gatso. Truvelo, Scamera Van etc they have 14days to issue you a ticket or NIP, if it doesn't show up in that time then it's their tough tits LOL

I can vouch for this as a mate once hid from 2 coppers for 6 months who had tried to pull him for driving like a tit. They knew it was him and were trying to get him to admit it. But he was told by a solicitor to avoid them for 6 months, and 6 months to the day of the "alleged offence" they spotted stalking him.
