I've got an 02 plate Polo that has got the Failed Reverse Light Switch problem.

I know some of you on here have had this problem on your Fabia's And Octavia's

I'm Struggling to find this switch, I've posted a pic of what i think maybe the switch ?

This the view from the front of the car, if more pics are needed i can upload them no problem.

If anyone has replaced one of these on a polo could they tell me if my guess is correct please.

The cars passed it MOT this morning, i asked the garage to have a look at the reverse light switch, which he did.

He said the wire going into the switch has snapped due to it rubbing on something close by (another common fault caused by bad design !) I have read somewhere that there is a kit you can buy in order to solder a new plug onto the loom, am i right or can anyone offer any advice at all.
