im currently looking for a new car and really like the look of fabia's.

also they have the VAG build quality, something im looking for.

the car i have currently is a 306 1.9 DTurbo, due to an accident and the pug being 12 years old, im probably not going to be able to get insured on it again and its on its way out anyway.

just wondering what the performance is like on a 1.4 tdi.

or what the insurance will be like on a 1.9tdi for an 18yr old with 0 NCB.

Best bet is to have a search on some Insurance comparison websites as what others pay is irrelevant due to location / risk etc.

I got a vRS insured at 19 with a claim and No NCB for 900 smackers

I was quite impressed with the wee 1.4 tdi i was in, obviously the 1.9 would be a quicker unit

what insurance company is that with. i wanna get rid of my mpi n go for a fabia. looking at getting one in december ill be 19 with two years ncb but cant find any good insurance qoutes

A lot of it depends where you live - I pay almost as much as that for no claims, no points and 7 years' NCB (although my car isn't standard!)

Try admiral and elephant, make yourself the main driver, and add your folks with good driving history as secondary drivers, the insurance companies see this as less chance of you driving, dropped my premium by 600 quid
