Is this right? or am I just tight?

Took my 04 Fabia vRS for a service and timing belt about a month ago whilst there they asked is there anything else? I said yes, my rear wash has stopped working. So when I picked car up they said it was fixed and when i looked on the bill there was no charge for fitting a new rear screen wash pipe, Result I thought.

Unfortunatly the first time I use the rear screen wash, its not working. So ring them and book car back in,and have to wait a month. So dropped car off this morning and they said they were going to charge me for fixing it, because they didnt charge last time

So is this right for them to charge me even thought they said it had been fixed last time and hadn't ?

On my old fabia when I had my PAS sensor done (along with other things) when the lady at the counter gave me my bill, I thought hang on it's a bit cheap, they'd forgotten to charge for the sensor or work for it.

She noticed it and just said, don't worry about it, it's our fault for not putting it on the bill. So I ended up not having to pay for it :P

Sounds like they ballsed up the first time.

I think they maybe didnt charge you the first time as you were sepnding a lot of $, so absorbed the costs into the job.

Its going to be either the rear jet or the pipe connector on the bulk head which needs a pipe clip round it...

This post should see you right if you don't want to have to go back to the garage... :)

A search a day keeps the dealer at bay

I would have thought they popped the pipe back on and its just popped back off again. So now rather that a quick fix that they wont charge for they will do a more in depth repair inc some parts that will sort it for good. I quite often do it myself, have a quick look for a freebie and try it, if not cough up and pay for some parts.
