ESP Light

Featured Replies

Started my 4x4 up this morning as usual, bright sunshine and sunglasses so I didn't notice for a 100m. that the ESP light was still on. Car was running fine doing about 20, but I turned back anyway as I couldn't remember what else it might be warning me of. Check the manual - esp and abs apparently. Got back in swearing about potential large bill:eek: and the light just went out as normal. Any ideas for a cause? Don't know if its relevant but I've just (about 1k ago) replaced all pads and discs.

Is it possible you have damaged an abs wheel sensor or maybe got one or more of them dirty? This would effect the traction control system I think

yep i had that once from my 4x4, ESP light came on after starting, enginen revs were held at 1800 RPM, as soon as i braked it all sorted it self out, only thought was must of been some dirt on a sensor, never done it since.

Its not done it anymore today. Heres hoping it went away!
