Yellow Octavias...

Featured Replies

Well, it seems to me that 2 more members have ordered yellow ones!!!

Nice one lads! Yellow is nearly as nice as red! :P

Regardless, atleast the concentration of blue ones will be diluted a little bit!

Good job I have just ordered a blue one just to keep the numbers up :D

7 weeks 1 day 12hrs 3mins and 42 secs to go till i pick it up.......

Red was my second choice if that makes you feel better Tom ;)

Who have been mad enough to purchase a Yellow Skoda?

there is a brand new one waiting for a pick up at Farmers as of yesterday, still has its protective covering on. So at least someone in nottingham

Who have been mad enough to purchase a Yellow Skoda?

I have one on order, and expect to take delivery in a fortnight or so (ordered it in January). Mind you, if I lived a bit closer to where they are made (like most of you lot), I'd have it already :)

Colour preferences are very much a personal thing, very subjective indeed.

Yellow was an easy choice for me.

Black is way too hot (I live in Australia, where the sun often shines with considerable venom) and shows the dirt very badly,

Red fades too much after 5-10 years (see previous comment on sun),

Silver is too common on cars here in Oz (and blends into the road a bit too much) and I just don't like it,

White Octys look too much like a fridge on wheels (and that's coming from someone who's last 4 cars were white, and quite liked the look of the white Golf GTI before deciding on a vRS),

Blue RS's are way too common and show the dirt more than yellow (due to the drought we have had water restrictions here for the last 4 years, so we aren't allowed to use a hose to wash cars at home).

That left yellow as the sole colour standing (blue would have been the next choice).

The above are my personal opinions, and seeing as it is my money I'm spending on my car, your opinions don't count for diddley squat :D (but feel free to express them anyway if it will make you feel better ;) )

Must agree that the Yellow VRS is a very cool looking car in that colour.Bur Red would be my first choice then yellow and finally....umm...Race Blue:rofl:

Here are two pics of a yellow Octy we placed on another thread, but of Octy RS, belongs to our main dealers, looked good we thought.

Yeah estate version looks great too:thumbup:

I would have had a white one if it was available when I ordered mine, and DSG and climate and......

Oh well, 77500 miles to go and I can have a new one, yay!

White is by far the best colour :P

Harry I like you colour change gif... that's cool

What's the problem with Race Blue anyway???

Nothing at all only that they out sell all other colours combined by 2 to 1 so are a bit common.

Skoda Octavia 2.0 T FSI vRS 5-Dr Hatchback

2006 (06) £12995

Thats seriously expensive imho. Yellow will be the most undesireable colour come resale, and that one hasn't even got climate!

Get the dark wheels done Roo, looks awesome!!!

as nice as they look in the photoshop, if they were to be done, I would more than likely go for white.

I think the white mk1s with the white alloys look quite smart, which would turn me that way if I was to do it.

My Ford Laser TX3 is white with (factory) white mags, but I have to admit it looks a bit 1980s. Quite reasonable I guess, as it was made in 1980 :D

Who said my car looks like a fridge on wheels

That would be me, but I can see by your logo that you think it looks more like a Stove on wheels  As I said in my post, it all comes down to personal preferences, and I like it that we can all agree to disagree. It would be so boring if everyone bought Blue vRS's, wouldn't it ?

Anyway back on topic....

Yellow
