climatronic klonk

Featured Replies

(soorry, should be subscribing to tech page) but is it normal for climatronic to be making gentle clonking noises all the time) i dont want to ask dealership.:(

ps. car felt great with empty tank and 3 sacks of homebase peat in the back

octavia vrs I, pipercross panel, saving for celtictuning remap.

Try random button presses a few times ............seems sort mine out every so often

Re-circ seems a good one generally (maybe a sticky flap) oo-er missus:eek:

Sounds like the compressor kicking in from what you describe, it's a normal sound and I've had it on every car I've owned with aircon. Some compressors are louder than others though :o

mine makes a gentle clonking, say once a second, you can only here it stationary at idle and it's done it from new. Always works a treat though :)

Mine did this. There's a thread on here that suggested pressing the recirc button on and off. It worked a treat on mine and stopped the noise.

It comes back every now and again but I just do the same again. Hope it works for you.
