Ultimate 'Q' car?

Featured Replies

I thought my vRS (Octavia) was a pretty good 'Q' car but I think I may have found the ultimate today whilst visiting a motorsport specialist (looking for bits for my car).

They have built a 2 litre, turbocharged, 4WD, small 5 door hatchback; 650bhp/450lbft (can't remember exact figures but somewhere in that region). They've recorded 1/4 mile times of 10.6 seconds @ 130+mph. From the outside it looks absolutely standard, finished in black, 17" wheels; no huge spoilers, no bulging arches. The inside is stripped out, apart from 2 front competition seats. Look under the bonnet and it's a different story, money has been thrown at it.

And the car is? A Toyota Corolla. I used to drive one as a company car, let me tell you, I could leave it anywhere, with the keys in, engine running, nobody would take it. Boring, boring, boring car.

Has anyone achieved anything similar with a Skoda? Or perhaps someone is in the process of doing so?

Andrew

Wot achievement is that ?

Leave the keys in, engine running ?? :)

Are we talking about Fensports beasty?

I saw this at Santa Pod and was gobsmacked

Looks standard but is outrageously quick - love it

Fensports beasty indeed. It is absolutely awesome isn't it? but how standard can a car look? I'm sure they are going to the Pod again soon, I must get down there to see this thing run.

I think that Ffelan has come the closest to that .............from the outside , a totally standard red vRS ;) , but lots gone on under the bonnet and also inside ...............it's very subtle :D

And Jon... and Des... and soon .... (he knows who ;))
