Hi guys, heres whats going on at the moment,

My car on one side has paint not only pealing off but its down to the metal in some places around the wheel arch at the rear. Its only getting worse and worse!

On top of this iv noticed a couple of little rust patches coming up on the boot!

I bought the car a year ago from a skoda dealership and its on a 05 plate reg with 35k on the clock.

The dealer took aload of very poor quality photos and sent them off to skoda to see if they would do the work under warrenty.........heard back yesterday that they wont!

What they have said is has OBVIOUSLY been resprayed on that side at some point by someone else and so its not skodas warrenty, its the person who sprayed the cars. Needless to say nobody knows who sprayed the car!

What the dealer has now said is to take it to a independant bodyshop to get a quote of the damage with some better pics and send it off to skoda agian to see if they change their minds.

My argument is, i bought the car from them, expecting to get a car that would stay in the condition i bought it, usualy wear and tear expected but nothing like whats happening to my paint!

Surely if it was obvious the car had been resprayed they should have noticed when THEY bought it. I mean they cant just buy in and sell any old rubbish surely?!

What do you think i should do and where do i stand?

to be hinest mate dont think u will get anywhere with this as they said the same about the bubbling on my door but its just somthing they say to fob ya off i think the swines

Think your pretty much outta luck mate....its annoying i know, although i totally agree with your argument about the quality they buy in.

Thats terrible IMHO, im a very pi55ed off customer, il be out the front of there garage shouting and balling to there other customers about the quality of their stock! See if that changes their mind!

It turns out my girlfriends dad is doing some business deal with the owner so iv got the main mans email address so i will get on to him about it, if that dont work then it will be SUK.

Got the estimate they asked for anyway £399+vat!
