Kuhmo tyres

Featured Replies

I have now had a set set of kuhmo tyres for 8000 miles and am totally impressed with them compared to the pirellis they replaced. Grip is the same if not better and at half the price£69 each cant be bad!

I had 2 fitted last week and Im really impressed with them. Going to get the other 2 at the end of the month.

I got a full set of KU31's last week and have been VERY impressed. The wet grip is fantastic and has totally transformed the car.

Dry grip is also very very good, certainly as good as any other tyre I have had on the Octavia, although I want them to last so have not pushed them to the limit.

I gave it some beans pulling off a busy roundabout and put a little more power on than I intended... They just gripped and gripped with not a flicker from the traction control.

I've just returned from a motorway run down to London and high speed stability seems excellent. Road noise is well contained.

My only worry is that the high levels of grip are the result of a soft compound which will wear down quickly. But I suppose even if they do, they're nice and cheap.

I have always rated Kumhos, and said so.

Nobody ever believes me though.

Their loss I suppose.

Well it looks like I'll give these a try next then :)

ku31's are a good tyre... wear rate is not to bad...

Are you new on here ? :D

YES! Atlast! Some recognition for the Khumo's!

I really rate these tyres, and I'll be sticking with them for a while now.

Regarding wear. I've done about 13,000 miles on my current front pair (including 8 laps of the Nurburgring), and they still have plenty of meat on them. They are a long way off being replaced.

Far better tyre than the Avon ZZ3's they replaced. I'll be getting KU31's on the rear when I need them too.

I've just had a set of KU31s fitted on the rear and so far so good.

The P Zero Neros I'd put on the front seem to be wearing too fast for my liking so I decided to give the Kumhos a go after reading some recommendations for them on here. I'll more than likely stick some more KU31s on the front to replace the Neros once they need changing.

Matt

Kuhmo's!!!! well i might have to give these a try, i was going to get goodyear eagle's gsd3, what sort of price do the kuhmo's go for.

Ok just found them on camskill for £68 alot cheaper tyre then the goodyear's are you sure there really that good?

about £65 I think

I had Kumho's on my car and just recently changed them for Avon ZZ3's i found the Kumho's gave me too much understeer, the Avon's i have now are an improvment! !

I dont know if they were the KU31's though

I fancy some of these myself - are they standard 205's or 225's for this price? Just got 2 Avons a few weeks ago from National Tyres but it seems I could have had all 4 corners done for what I paid!

Also, being on the confused side when it comes down to tyre size, when people swap to 225's, do these fit on the standard Vrs wheels?

Cheers

Yes they are a direct replacement for the 205x50 ;)

I have 2 Kuhmo's going on the rear next week.

they also do 225/45 for those that appreciate the extra grip.

KU31's :rally: :rally: :rally:

I only have them in 205/55/16 and I give them quite alot of stick and so far they're wearing well. I have loads of torque and the grip is astounding.
