I don't have a problem with my car

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd write an alternative thread to the "I have a problem threads".

Of late my vRS has been running like a dream. It had new front black circles last week which has made the ride and steering alot better, I feel more confident pushing her that little bit round the bends.

The new 2 week old Piper cat back exhuast has made me enjoy it more and more, love the noise it makes at low revs, idling and starting her. The noise my car make with the CAI, DV and cat back makes me smile all the time.

The water ingress problem has been fixed by myself which I'm happy about and I've not seen anymore water since.

It currently does not need anything doing to it apart from a good seeing to with regard the paint work and swirl marks, which is being taken care of soon by another briskodian. See you soon Baker21.

Feel free to leave some positive feedback regarding your car, I think this would be good reading and great for new briskodians to view as lots of peoples first point of call with briskoda is regarding problems.

Touch wood, I Love my Skoda.

I had some new oil breather pipes to replace last week but now its back to reliable motoring.

The cars been a pleasure to own ....so far.

After the twelve visits to the dealer to fix the creaking suspension it's been trouble free and has redeemed itself a fair amount

my car is running well too..

I got

A clicking seat

A shagged steering rack

D1cky tracking(apparantly it was spot on hhhmmmm)

Knackered rad mounts (again)

Oh and a baby due anyday now

Other than everythings great :):):):)

Dont want to jinx it but mine is fineish at the moment.

Radiator mounts need doing as i can hear it over speed bumps but im not really fussed about it at the moment.

Apart from that really im enjoying driving it, although i do have a nice 3 hour drive down the A1 tomorrow though

Is that a problem with the engine or the gearbox. See people say that I don't know what i'm talking about but it's just not true.

Mines running pretty nice, going in for a service in the next couple of weeks.

I'm getting some "clicking" from the suspension at low speeds and some vibration through the gearstick/clutch so I'm guessing somethings a little at miss there.

2 new F1s ready to go on the front.

Needs some new discs/pads because the mintex ones are crap.

:)

Kinda it's something to do with my big end tbh:rofl::rofl:

Got a lots of work done on her and adjusted the rear whiteline arb to 2nd from hardest.

And she is flying.

And will be getting a remap in a few weeks.

Mmmmmm cannt wait.

My car's running well too at the moment. Did the ring and back + 8 laps without skipping a beat. Propane is now out, but it's still giving me 500 miles to a tank. Still after more power as always, but she's being good and reliable at the moment.

17 months  motoring (but only 12k).

Car was diagnosed with 'failing but not critical heater flap motors' recently but other than that absolutely hunky dory - sailed through 2 MOTs :thumbup: and still feels like new :)

Another running sweet, I need ARB replacing and paint work looking at, The door water seals replaced and last of all drivers window regulator replaced as window plays up sometimes but all getting done one thing at a time and they are just minor issues.......Such a joy to own and run, Well except the fuel costs the insurance and road tax and mods i want ..... think i will leave it at great car to drive and own and miss out the running part at least till the day i get a highly paid job or win the lottery.

Mine is all well at the moment (famous last words )

I worried now I've cursed us all with this thread.

Mine seems fine apart from a minor niggle with the clutch pedal clicking into place which doesn't really affect the driving.... it's more me being fussy! :D

mine's running well!!! got 350mls out of it last week before the light came on i think fitting new spark plugs had something to do with that

i also have a baby due any time now but no signs yet

Have you sorted that surging out yet?

50K and nothing at all wrong, I new it was good when the bulb for the brakes goes when the pads are only 50% worn, touching wood now! (and that's not dirty)

You all sound really surprised!

You have good cars, and the VAG diesel and petrol engines are strong.

Relax

Just finished polishing the bad boy and is running like a dream.

After recently sticking on some 18's with awsome tyres and an induction kit life couldnt be better.

Have some noise and a dif look to the car.

With only 16k on the clock got no mechanical probs yet but then with the amount of mileage i do would you expect any :)

Only issue I've had other than worn-out brake parts is the alternator failing just after I got the car. Even there, you can't really blame Skoda; they don't make alternators.

im in too with the fine motoring lot:orb_jacks the only prob ive found is its only 225 horses lol

that and im creeping the day month of insurance DOH! :orb_wise_

touch wood
