Felicia 1.9 diesel probs...

Featured Replies

Hi there all.

I only have vauge details at the moment as the info is being fed from my parents so please bear with me.

My dads felicia has been running rough, and been kicking out a load of black smoke. His neighbour (ex mot inspector retd) has looked at it and said that i was the fuel pump firstly but after closer inspection said it was the EGR valve. This was fitted this afternoon but i am told that the problem still excists (sorry cant spell tonight).

Would anyone happen to have any ideas????

Or is there anyone in the new forest with vag software??????

Many thanks

Start with checking the air filter for blockage. It is also possible that one of the injectors is sticking open and causing an exess of fuel in the bores. The cause of black smoke is exesive fuel,

firstly i would try adding a fuel additive and givind the car a good run to see if it clears

Parents. Only gave me half of the information..... Turns out to be the usual hot start problems, have checked the other threads for the required info.

Many thanks,

Let ya know how it goes

only way is to have it checked by a specialist

:iagree: - Have your dad check his Yellow Pages for Turner Diesel (aka Turner Tune) or Bosch diesel agencies.
