had the electric window wire break last week so was dreading the price of a new one but in the end it was £70 inc vat parts from skoda and the labour was £20 from a mobile mechanic i was recommended , pretty good i think :)

Hello I have a passanger window which I am trying to hold up with duck tape right now as its a bank holiday and its not a real emergancy. I want to find out what is wrong with the electric window but I lack the confidance to take the door pannel of to have a look any advice please.

its the wires that break inside the window usually, skoda supply the whole regulator as a kit thats about £60 plus vat but fitting can be quite expensive at some places if your in yorkshire your welcome to this chaps number if you decide against a diy job

It's an hours work to replace, but it's quite an involved job, a Haynes manual should point you in the right direction
