Good to see..........

.............. so many REAL police cars on the M6 today instead of the wombles or talivan.

I am in Stoke visiting family and drove down from Fife today. Must of seen about 8 traff pol in England, mainly northbound. More on duty for the BH weekend maybe?

Didnt pass a single talivan today, which is quite unusual, normally pass at least one on my 300 mile trip down here.

Typical, as I decided today to see what MPG I can get in sacrifice of a heavy right foot.

Did have a 2 min blast at a 3 figure speed where it was quiet and no bridges for talivan to hide on but otherwise sat at between 60 and 65 all the way.

Its bloody hard driving that slow by the way, at 60mph to pull out to the middle lane you can seriously slow someone already in that lane down if you dont time things right. Think Ill just put my foot to the floor on the way up!

I did get to see someone driving with a dog on their lap though (no, not a LHD car, lol)!!

Maxidot is showing 55.4 over the 300 miles and at one point had a combined range and trip of 710miles (100 miles on trip, 610 range) but its down to about a total of 650 now. Wonder if I can get back up the road on the remainder of the tank?

Car is a Octy vRS TDI, so they can be pretty economical if one wants them to be!!
