Rapid 136 brakes...

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm replacing the two brake pipes that run from the master cylinder to the two three-way unions under the front boot floor. They were both very rusty as I presume they have never been checked on MOTs because they are hidden by the spare wheel...Unfortunalely, I did not take note of which one went to the front and which went to the rear brakes. I've checked my 1989 vintage Haynes manual

with the supplement for later 105/120/136 models but I am still a bit confused as the diagram on page 113 shows the top union on the master cylinder supplying the front bakes whereas the corresponding diagram on page 195 in the supplement shows the bottom outlet supplying the front bakes... I'm confused: :confused:can anyone out there tell me definitively which is correct for a 1989 Rapid 136?

Thanks,

Paul

:)I can't remember, but next time I have a 4 pot type Estelle/Rapid on the ramp at the garage[there are 6 there at the moment!:D] I'll make a note.
