Skoda Fabia Reigns.

Sorry to be boring, you guys with your treasured Vrs's But I am the proud owner of a 05 1.9TDi PD Estate. I've owned her for 5 months but being retired and sedate these days have only just taken her on a decent motorway journey i.e. Lincs to Burnley Lancs. I have been amazed at the lovely motorway cruising. Effortlessly gliding along around (dare I say it) 80mph and having to check my speed carefully. She is the Elegance model so I was able to set the Cruise Control on the quieter stretches. She's a dream. MPG in high 60's and once full the fuel gauge doesn,t even move untill 100miles have gone. What a comfortable 'little' car (feels big) My last car was a Rover 75 2.0 CDT with sat nav but once I've clipped my TomTom in the fabia it's no contest. Anyone thinking of buying the Fabia..go for it. I wish I'd done it earlier.

Apparently a great little car - mate WW has gotten one after his vRS and seems very happy with it.

I have the same car , I had a Vrs but replaced it with the estate a few months later ( long story ) and have not missed the Vrs at all. True what you say about the needle not moving until you have done 100 miles from a full tank. The heated seats are a bonus as well.

Yes the heated seats are great. The 5 position setting really lets you have just the right amount of heat. In the Rover 75 it was 'on' or'off' and it took an eternity for them to warm. Fabia build quality really shines through.

:)

I've got an Ambiente 1.9PD Estate as a company wagon, was the reason I bought my vRS.

Not as much spec as the Elegance but im munches the miles very very impressively!

Needs some TLC, being an ex large animal Vet's car it's had a hard life :D and stunk when we got it haha
