Welcome

As above with WD40 + just a possibility distributor cap might have very fine cracks in it (had this with a Renault years ago).

Tried WD40 in the distributor?

Welcome :)

I will definately be giving it a go in the morning and will let you know what the results are.

If this fails. Changing the cap for new one may help if the contacts in it are worn..

And welcome..

Hope you get it sorted..

Hiya.

Usual suspects are old or very dirty HT leads, or very dirty or cracked distributor cap. So I'd clean them off first, or replace the leads if they're more than a couple of years old.

Thanks to everyone for their advice, unfortunately the W40 didnt work so have now had the cap and rotor arm replaced and have my fingers crossed that this will cure the problem.

Will keep you all up to date if not its the leads next lol.

Heres hoping its nothing too serious.
