Pics from drive out on Dartmoor today

Featured Replies

Was foreboding, but also decent (referring to the weather, not my car)

Myself and a couple of members of a local tuning forum went for a small drive up on Dartmoor today. One in a tasty blue Supra and the other in a slightly tuned Cupra.

Started off at a greasy spoon and headed up to Haytor, then across to Hexworthy area, before heading home. Weather was reasonable and some good pics were taken. I nabbed these off the other site to put up here. :)

Some great scenery - and enough to make me think about organising a Briskoda Dartmoor tour in the late summer.

Cool, thanks for sharing. What are the roads like to drive there? I think i've only been there once.

Please take the "TDI" badge off the front grill ;)

Great cars, nice scenery and a good moody sky = great pictures  I like the angle in the first pic too.

I'm liking the Supra - I don't think I've ever noticed one that colour and it suits it. :)

Good pics Jason.

Wonder which one of the trio is fastest though ;)

Some of the roads are "narrow" - bloody narrow! But thats the fun of driving on the moor - sometimes you need to reverse a bit. But the Princetown to Postbridge road provides good wide open road with spectacular views (but of course the dartmoor wide 40mph speed limit - Dartmoor ponies are tough buggers to hit ;))

That TDI badge is the only thing which says "This is not a vRS", so it stays. ;)

Which was fastest? Well, there was no racing obviously - but I think all cars are fairly matched. The cupra is running around 210 but is lighter. I never found out the Supra specs but I think it's either NA, or the owner was not giving it too much beans (Can't blame him with the wet roads and RWD)
