Looks like it. The name gives it away.

House move forces a very reluctant sale.

Mum and Dad kick him out as he could afford a nice car or is he moving in his house and has to sell it due to fuel costs?

Hope it's going to make an appearance on Thursday still :D

I'm guessing Tom has found out what I found out about the petrol VRS .......it's expensive to run, even more so now the price of fuel has gone up......go back to a diesel Tom

Does this beat his previous record for longest length of car ownership?

Yep, mine is indeed up for sale. My insurance renewal came through at £1350 odd, and on top of the monthly payment for the car and fuel, it means that moving out is not an option. Its caused a bit of tension at home with mum and dad, so its up for sale.

The V6 is stunning throughout, will cost about the same in fuel, is only £511 for the years insurance and I don't have a monthly repayment, meaning I can now look to moving out with some colleagues as a house share!!

So, if someone wants a cheap Mk2 vRS!! :P

I have run several V6 mondeos (2xMk1,1xMk2 and a ST200) and they do like a drop of go juice.

I would say the vRS is better on fuel overall.

However enjoy your purchase Tom the old V6 does sound good especially when thrashed mercilessly.

No servicing costs on the Mondy as if it breaks you just buy a new one

Oooh, look forward to a natter then! :P

My first impressions of the V6 so far is its silky smooth when pootling about (and suprisingly economical), yet when booting it the noise is superb. The suspension is great at soaking up bumps etc, yet the car can be thrown down a twisty b-road with quite some pace!! The spec is awesome, heated electric leather seats, trip computer, 6cd, drivers information system, cruise, a/c, illuminated footwells and door handles, traction control, airbags etc - impressive stuff for a 10 year old car. :)

All joking aside, servicing will cost me peanuts. If something expensive goes, yep, buy a new one. Its paid for itself in 4 months easily, so anything more than that is profit. :)

Is your finance on the car or with a bank ?

Shame it's got to go Tom, but if needs must, i'm sure you'll be back in the saddle soon. :)

Who's your insurance with tom £1350 .Shame its got to go thou.

Tom I cannot believe you bought a Mundaneo. Just been browsing AutoTrader and you could have got yourself a nice BM or something.

Nice to see your mission to own at least one of every make/model of car ever built is progressing well. :D:P

Ever thought of becoming a motor-jurno? might be the cheaper way to try them all out. :D

They do a nice RS lowering kit which is made by Eibach which I had on 1 of my mk1's. ;)

:orb_sleep:

Seriously, ever research car ownership before actually buying something?

Hey mate if your that desperate to throw money away i'll have some this way ;)

Sooooooooooo Tempted.

But SWMBO said I would have no nuts left if I did.

I loved my V6

Looking forward to some pics.

V6s are cool... I wasn't sure I'd enjoy owning a lazy engine, but mine's growing on me.

V6 ownership rocks. Its definitely costing slightly less on fuel per mile :)

Done about 300 miles so far, faultless, and about 33mpg average according to the trip - will fill up with fuel tomorrow and see how accurate that is. :)
